We don’t hear this very often- Chris Pine ADMITS he hates modern technology. Even the internet. He totally avoids social media and finds most of it time wasting or toxic. Do you remember when he gave up his Smartphone and started using a flip phone because he felt he wanted to simplify his life when he was not working? So it makes sense that the Wonder Woman star also appreciates old cars. (Who needs a back-up camera?) He’s had several old Porsches, but we love this vintage red Alfa-Romeo convertible. Mark Zuckerberg Paris Tech For Good Technology

MARK ZUCKERBERG IS STILL SAYING HE’S SORRY

Nice to see Mark Zuckerberg spiffed up in a navy suit and tie, appropriate to his position as CEO of Facebook. He was probably the most famous of the 50 or so CEO’s from the world’s biggest tech firms who showed up at the Tech For Good summit in Paris. French President Emmanuel Macron, who is very tech savvy, arranged the summit because he believes that with power comes social responsibility. He emphasized that he welcomes innovation but also regulation and working for the common good. As automation replaces jobs he wants employers to be responsible for retraining employees and focusing on the most at-risk segment of the population. Hopefully he planted some seeds of conscience…

Technology Woody Allen

WOODY ALLEN HAS NEVER EMAILED ANYBODY

Woody Allen is a character like no other. Private life aside, he has undeniably brought HOURS of intelligent and humorous entertainment to the world over the years. And he’s been happily married to Soon-Yi for twenty years. He describes her to The Hollywood Reporter as a great companion and a great wife and he adores her. (Mia Farrow’s children remain split on the “molestation” issue, but charges against Allen were investigated and dropped.) Maybe it’s for the best that he remains technologically challenged. This master of filmmaking does not own a computer and only uses a cell phone for making calls. Therefore he was oblivious to the negative furor during the Soon-Yi scandal. He also admits he has never emailed anybody! Woody is happy working nonstop and to his great relief, just finished his untitled Amazon series with Miley Cyrus. As seems to happen every year. Woody’s latest film, Cafe Society, was chosen to screen on the Festival’s opening night.

Cell Phone Internet Prince Technology

PRINCE WANTS NOTHING TO DO WITH TECHNOLOGY

Prince, 55, really HAS turned his back on technology. He liked the internet back in the 90’s but he learned to hate it when he couldn’t control images and content and comments from churlish geeks. He banned his music from YouTube and iTunes and took down his own website in retaliation to SOMETHING. He insists “the internet is OVER.” Really. And in a recent interview with V magazine he declared that he does NOT possess a cell phone! His manager takes and responds to all calls for him. Prince claims he likes “peace and calm” and is much happier and more prolific in his own little world. He’s currently touring with his new band 3rdeyegirl.
