You’d never guess it by looking at her, but Teri Hatcher’s days on “Desperate Housewives” are numbered. (She and her daughter Emerson are in Beverly Hills, above) It’s a big secret, but Teri’s character will be written off the show sometime next season – and she may not know it yet. Teri’s storyline has pretty much run it’s course and producers want to shake things up a bit so they’re brainstorming to come up with an outrageous and unexpected departure for Susan Mayer.

Last week, “Desperate Housewives” star Teri Hatcher was rumored to have swine flu but it turned out to be simply laryngitis. She’s obviously recovered because this week she took her twelve year old daughter Emerson shopping at The Grove. It seems like only yesterday that Teri and Emerson spent a day at the Grove’s American Girl store playing with dolls. But that was two years ago and Emerson has other thing son her mind now. Like fashion.

As nutty as “Desperate Housewife” Teri Hatcher seems to be at times, she always appears to be a doting mother. She and her 11 year old daughter Emerson arrived at LAX after a shopping spree in New York, looking very afffectionate. Emerson is growing up to be quite a beauty.

EVA LONGORIA IS DESPERATE FOR A BETTER WARDROBE

Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria Parker was shopping at The Beverly Center and yakking on the phone with her husband Tony, who was out of town. Eva kept telling him she was “starving” and couldn’t fiqure out what to eat. “I’m on a diet – I can’t eat that!” She told him. “We’re back to work next week and I don’t want Teri to get all the best clothes this year!” Then she looked around and realized people were eavesdropping on her conversation. Eva giggled, saying “I’m just kidding, guys!” She exchanged I love yous with Tony and hung up quickly.

Teri Hatcher didn’t do herself a favor when she put on this Queen of Hearts costume to go along with her little girl Emerson dressed as Alice in Wonderland. Is it the makeup that’s so scary? Whatever – the outfit doesn’t do a thing for Teri. She and Emerson seemed to have a good time at the AIDS charity Halloween party together, however.

Teri Hatcher’s fashionable daughter Emerson may LOOK very grown up and sophisticated, but she’s only nine years old! So it’s not surprising that Emerson loves the American Girl store at The Grove. Not long ago Teri ordered a custom doll that looks just like Emerson. Then Teri and Emerson went on a shopping spree in the store, spending $300 on doll clothes and accessories and outfits for Emerson that match. Now Emerson and her mini-me doll can wear the same sport clothes and sleep in the same pajamas.
