“THE BLING RING” BRINGS AUDRINA PATRIDGE BACK IN THE NEWS
In 2009, a group of Valley teenagers checked online to find out when their favorite celebrities would be out at parties and events and then burglarized the stars’ homes. They broke into Paris Hilton’s house SIX times (her key was under the mat) and eventually Paris noticed that two million dollars worth of stuff was missing. Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green, Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom, Lindsay Lohan, Rachel Bilson, and Audrina Patridge were also robbed before the amateur culprits were caught. Sophia Coppola turned their story into a movie “The Bling Ring” out this week. Paris allowed Sophia to film scenes in her actual home. Audrina’s career on The Hills was hot at the time but she was the least accomplished victim. Sophia wanted to duplicate the locations in the movie but Audrina’s Spanish house wasn’t particularly attractive or photogenic. So they substituted an ultra-modern hillside house with walls of glass, thus giving Audrina a big upgrade. Maybe the movie will give Audrina a much needed career boost.
