TILDA SWINTON: BEST HAIR

It’s not often that we stop the presses for a haircut, but Tilda Swinton’s do is SO creative that we MUST give her credit! WE are SO tired of the Kardashian look- straight hair (probably fake) parted in the middle, long enough to sit on. Tilda’s hair and lack of eye makeup is SO refreshing! Did you know she went to school and was friends with Princess Diana? Tilda graduated from Cambridge with a degree in social and political sciences and ended up an actress.

DAVID BOWIE AND TILDA SWINTON : INTERCHANGEABLE?

 

At first glance, this photo thoroughly confused me. It was captioned David Bowie and Tilda Swinton – but it looked like two strangers.  Turns out David and Tilda did a video together in 2013 called The Stars (Are Out Tonight) and David is dressed like Tilda’s character in the video, and vice-versa.  Yes, it IS them- in drag. There’s a strong resemblance between the two, and they both acknowledged it. Tilda observed that they looked like they both came from the same planet.

TILDA SWINTON: DON’T JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER

This photo is SO Hollywood – the two women in pink dresses are Tilda Swinton and her double as they take a smoke break together at the Wall Street location where they’re filming “Okja.” The S. Korean/American production is described as a sci-fi-horror-monster movie! The story is confounding- it’s about a young girl scheming to prevent a big corporation from kidnapping her best friend Okja – a gigantic animal! If this doesn’t sound particularly interesting – you are not alone. BUT consider the stars – Tilda, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Paul Dano. How bad can it be? PLUS Brad Pitt and Netflix are enthusiastic backers and producing it!

Unconventional Scottish actress Tilda Swinton, 54, seems to have her life in order. For the past ten years she’s been living happily with 18 years younger German artist Sandro Kopp. (above) For a few years her former companion, playwright John Byrne (the father of her twins) who happens to be 20 years OLDER than Tilda, lived with them. So civilized. He’s since moved out but they all remain good friends. Tilda, who appeared in The Grand Budapest Hotel, happens to be GQ’s Woman of the Year.

DAVID BOWIE STILL HAS SOME KINK LEFT IN HIM

David Bowie looks like a proper Englishman nowadays, but he still has an edge, as you can see in his video The Stars Are Out Tonight. Tilda Swinton is kind of the modern female version of Bowie and they are an appropriate match in this weird adventure. It’s hard to believe that David Lynch didn’t have anything to do with this.
