Halle Berry took her mother to lunch at Il Piccolino on Robertson and she knows how to get prompt and excellent service from the valet parking attendant. Halle tipped $20 and she WASN’T driving a Bentley or Lamborghini. She doesn’t mind wearing the same jacket twice in one week, either.

It seems she has become a frequent customer at Terroni, the hot new restaurant on Beverly. Her favorite dish is the eggplant pasta. Who’s the most popular celebrity who patronizes the Hollywood Post Office on Wilcox? According to a long time postman there, Ben Affleck is by far the best liked celebrity customer. Ben was described as “The sweetest man you’d ever want to meet!” Our postal worker went on to say that sometimes Ben comes in at the end of the day to pick up all his packages and mail and he’s one of the few people who tip – and he’s VERY generous. “Everybody wants to help him.”

XZIBIT: ALL FLASH NO CASH

We love it when our stories have far reaching implications. Awhile back we wrote about Xzibit from Pimp My Ride, who brought a group of friends to Arnie Mortons Steak House in Burbank and left a miserly tip: $100 on a $1700 tab. And get this – he was flaunting a diamond watch worth half a million dollars. Apparently Xzibit was VERY upset when he got wind of our story because he marched into the Beverly Hills Arnie Morton’s restaurant in a rage and announced that he would NEVER go back to the Burbank Mortons because someone leaked the cheapskate story. He insisted he left a small tip because he got “bad service.” We have a feeling the Burbank waiters aren’t weeping crocodile tears.

JOHNNY DEPP AND KEANU REEVES: PASTA TO GO

A tale of two actors: Johnny Depp and a friend went to the Vivoli Italian restaurant on Sunset awhile back and ordered two dinners – around $50 worth of food – to go. “He couldn’t have been nicer. He chatted with all the waiters and was friendly to everyone. ” Johnny REALLY impressed his server when he tipped him $50. Weeks later Keanu Reeves walked into the restaurant with the same companion that Johnny’d been with, and THEY ordered two meals to go. “Keanu was polite but he kept to himself – he wasn’t as sociable as Johnny.” And the funny thing is, Keanu walked out without tipping AT ALL!
