IT IS UNUSUAL: TOM JONES AND PRISCILLA PRESLEY HAVE A LONG DINNER DATE

Here’s an amusing surprise – Priscilla Presley and Tom Jones turned up for a dinner date at Craig’s restaurant last night! And they were there for FIVE hours! Keep in mind Craig’s food is not that great – in fact, it’s expensive but generally disappointing. But the place is pleasant and diners are guaranteed lots of attention from the ever-present paparazzi and fans outside. Priscilla and Tom have been acquainted since he and Elvis became friends in Las Vegas in the 70’s. (Although there WAS some rivalry in those days!) Both Priscilla and Tom are single – or is this a business move of some sort? Time will tell… They left together in Tom’s Rolls Royce.

How does Tom Jones contain his curiosity? In 1987 he had a fling with a model in the US named Katherine Berkery and the result was a baby boy named Jonathan Jones. Tom agreed to support the child but he never wanted to see him. Now little Jonathan has grown up – he’s 23 and a model and singer. He’s also desperate to meet his father – even just once. He’s publicly pleading for a meeting, but so far Tom is not interested.

IT IS UNUSUAL – TO SEE TO SEE JONES WITH HIS WIFE LINDA

There’s something about oversexed Welsh singer Tom Jones that’s lovable. In spite of his history of romantic transgressions he has remained married to his childhood sweetheart Linda for 53 years. (“I may have fooled around, but I always came home” he explains nonchalantly.) Tom is surely one of the greatest performers ever to grace the stage in Las Vegas, and he’s still going strong. He was photographed at LAX with Linda this week.

Frankie Valli (“Walk Like a Man”) and Tom Jones (“Thunderball.“) Both gained fame in the swingin’ 60’s, and showed up at a Friars Club award event in New York. To their credit, they are both still performing in concert and you can probably see them in your city this summer. We love ’em both.

There’s no recession in the world of Tom Jones. The Las Vegas performer is in the mood for a new car and spent a day comparing the virtues of a $300,000 Rolls Royce and a slightly less expensive Aston Martin. He also gave the visual once-over to the attractive saleswoman.

We were fascinated when this photo of Tom Jones and his wife Linda turned up because they’re almost never photographed together. They were seen leaving a video rental store in LA. UK papers say that Linda lives in Tom’s Beverly Hills mansion but she rarely goes out because she supposedly suffers from agoraphobia. She leaves the house rarely and when Tom is around to accompany her and he is often out of town on tour. Apparently Linda doesn’t take part in Tom’s glamorous lifestyle and she has turned a blind eye to his many flirtations. She and Tom were only 16 when they wed back in 1957.
