How ANYONE could imagine that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry made a MISTAKE when they left the royal family and castles and moved to Los Angeles is a mystery. We happen to think that LA is the greatest city in the world for living. The climate is everything and the cultural, social, and just plain fun elements are abundant. We know how lucky we are to be here. Certainly staying at Tyler Perry’s mansion (above) is enjoyable for now, but the ex-royals are fervently hunting for something smaller and more manageable. We predict that – despite the paparazzi – they will be very happy here – and Archie will eventually be surfing with the best of them…

TYLER PERRY: GAY OR NOT GAY?

Tyler Perry, 45, broke some kind of record this week: First he supposedly announced that he was gay, to no one’s surprise. Just a few days later he denied that he ever made such a confession and instead announced that he has a pregnant girlfriend! This is a confusing chain of events. We always assumed the multi-millionaire Madea creator (and confirmed bachelor) was probably gay and we bet his friend Oprah did too. No big deal. What a surprise when Perry abruptly admitted he is about to become a father with his on again off again Ethiopian model girlfriend Gelila Bekele, that nobody seemed to know about. Good news, but perplexing.

KIM KARDASHIAN’S STRANGE OUTFIT FOR A MOVIE SCREENING

Kim Kardashian overdressed for the first screening in Atlanta of Tyler Perry’s movie Temptation in which she has a supporting role. Her black leather leggings and heavy black glittery lace coat stood out among the casually dressed crowd. She brought her hair and makeup people along for the appearance, but there was no sign of Kanye West. Back in LA she registered at the upscale shop Bel Bambini so her friends can buy expensive gifts for her baby. One would think that after all the gifts from her last wedding went unused, she would prefer having friends donate to charity instead of buying her more.

Bobbi absolutely hopes for an acting career and she plans to start it off – not with acting classes- but with plastic surgery. Unfortunately, Bobbi inherited more of her father’s looks that those of her beautiful mother. She and her father both have gaps in their teeth and Bobbi plans to have hers corrected. She also has plans for a nose job and maybe even breast implants like her mother had.

Finally, someone has done something that might actually HELP Whitney Houston’s forlorn daughter Bobbi Kristina! According to Deadline.com, Tyler Perry offered her a recurring role on his TBS comedy series “For Better Or Worse.” Bobbi has been hoping for an acting career and this is her big break. It might inspire her to get her life together. At the very least, it will keep her busy and distracted and maybe out of trouble. We’re thinking Tyler will make sure that someone on the set keeps an eye on her – he seems like a great guy.

Prolific Perry has several TV shows on the air and he wrote, directed, produced, and starred in three movies last year. He may also be the hardest working man in show business. Imagine – according to Forbes.com – he even topped Steven Spielberg at 107 million dollars, Simon Cowell at 90 million, and Dr Phil at 80 million.

Tyler Perry’s spending habits are the talk of Atlanta. The incredibly successful film-maker’s movies are non-union, but he keeps buying larger and more extravagant houses – in spite of the fact that he’s single. Our friend The Real Estalker has dubbed him a “real estate size queen.” (And he always seemed like such a modest, down-to-earth guy.) He’s in the process of unloading his 8800 sq ft LA house for 13 million, and his 17,000 sq ft Atlanta mansion for $3,650.000. Tyler bought a 58 acre Atlanta estate (with an 18 hole golf course, a garage for forty cars, and a band shell) and DEMOLISHED the monstrous 36,000 sq ft house so he could build a BIGGER house! (above) What does one man DO in a house the size of Macy’s in New York? Tyler insists God gave him all this because he “believes,” but we think his moviemaking skills had more to do with it.

Janet Jackson is going on with the show – without Mariah Carey. Janet has started filming Tyler Perry’s new movie “For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf” – based on the 1975 play. (Mariah dropped out) It’s about seven women of different hues and their problems including love, abandonment, rape and abortion. The stellar cast includes Whoopi Goldberg, Phylicia Rashad, Kerry Washington, Loretta Devine, and Macy Gray, so Mariah is really missing out. However, Janet will carry on – and she looks spiffy doing it, doesn’t she?
