Unbroken

THE EVOLUTION OF SHILOH JOLIE-PITT

While Angelina Jolie was at home scratching her chicken pox rash, Brad Pitt, Pax, Maddox, and Shiloh attended the Unbroken premier in her place. (As you know, we highly recommend the movie) Whenever we see a Jolie-Pitt family photo we can’t take our eyes off Shiloh. For a few years we thought she was the image of Brad, but lately her looks have taken a turn toward Angelina, and that is NOT a bad thing. Love her little jacket and tie.

MIYAVI: ANOTHER REASON TO SEE ‘UNBROKEN”

tumblr_ng9rl16t2v1tmiyavi

It’s impossible to see Angelina Jolie’s “Unbroken” without becoming curious about the horrendous villain played by Japanese performer Miyavi. Miyavi plays the impossibly handsome but brutal officer at a Japanese POW camp. He becomes obsessed with Olympic runner turned soldier Zamparini, played by Jack O’Connell, and torments him endlessly. You can’t take your eyes off this officer’s gorgeous face and riding boots. It turns out Angelina’s casting discovery is a very famous singer in Japan – and married with children. This guy is SO pretty that a tabloid claimed Brad Pitt was jealous of him because he resembles Angie’s one time love Jenny Shimizu!

ANGELINA JOLIE’S “UNBROKEN” IS COMPELLING AND TOUCHING

Don’t let the fact that the Golden Globes ignored Angelina Jolie’s “Unbroken” stop you from seeing it. We were pleasantly surprised to see that Angie has sensitively and masterfully directed a very special – and patriotic – WWII movie. The story of this heroic man’s life is amazing and we love the fact that she cast not-so-familiar faces so the story seemed even more down to earth and real. What a relief it is NOT to have the distraction of a big Hollywood name making the film all about himself! According to the NY Post’s Andrea Peyser, Hollywood doesn’t like patriotic movies like Clint Eastwood’s “American Sniper” and this one. Do you suppose that’s true?
