It’s time for Vanessa Paradis to get a grip. Those gap teeth are not doing her any favors. After a certain age, gap teeth can look more “homeless” than cute. Surely Vanessa has noticed that when she appears in Chanel ads, she is never asked to smile! Vanessa’s gap is much wider than Madonna’s and Madonna stopped smiling YEARS AGO! (Check her Instagram!) Hopefully cosmetic dentistry is on Vanessa’s to-do list by NOW…

VANESSA PARADIS: NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE IMPORTANCE OF A SMILE

Vanessa Paradis has always been adorable, and she’s always been (gently) teased about the gap in her teeth (Years ago, model Lauren Hutton made such gaps perfectly acceptable.) Vanessa, 47, shrugs off comments with “I was born this way – why change it?” and her ex-partner Johnny Depp never complained. We’ve seen many photos of Vanessa smiling with her mouth shut, but at the Deauville American Film Festival she must have been particularly happy – and had a BIG smile. We can’t help thinking she’d look a whole lot better with some cosmetic dentistry. What do YOU think?

KEEPING UP WITH THE DEPPS

It’s not often that you get a close look at Johnny Depp’s almost fourteen year old son John Christopher Depp (AKA Jack,) and this is about as good as it gets because he usually keeps his head way down. He DOES look a lot like his dad and that’s obviously a good thing. Of course, his mom Vanessa Paradis is no slouch in the looks department, as is illustrated by her pretty lookalike daughter Lily-Rose, 16. Interesting that teen actress Lily-Rose is dating a man 8 years older. He’s English model Ash Stymest, a divorced father of a four year old daughter. Ash and Lily Rose were seen at LAX with Jack and Vanessa.

Vanessa Paradis looks somewhat amused as she leads her lookalike daughter Lily-Rose Depp, 16, into LAX to catch a departing flight. They were bombarded by paparazzi and Lily-Rose is trying to cover her face but she’d better get used to all that attention. She just finished her third movie (Planetarium with Natalie Portman) and her acting career is getting hot. She’s already adjusted to life in LA – she and a group of girlfriends had a fun time at Disneyland on Saturday.

Johnny Depp’s ex – and the mother of his children, singer Vanessa Paradis, seems perfectly happy with her new boyfriend, French pop singer Benjamin Biolay. The only drawback is the fact that Vanessa and her two children now live in Los Angeles and Benjamin doesn’t, but she spends a lot of time in France. We wonder what Vanessa thinks about Johnny’s recently uncovered drinking problem. She and Benjamin were photographed at a soccer game in Nice with her sister Alysson.

“FADING GIGOLO” HAS MORE THAN A TOUCH OF WOODY ALLEN

We walked into screening of “Fading Gigolo” with hopeful expectations – and they were realized. It’s ALMOST a Woody Allen movie. Call it “Woody Allen light.” Woody, who is an actor in the movie, must have had some input when it comes to his own dialog because his character was exceptionally funny, It’s John Turturro’s film, but he is obviously influenced by Woody’s sense of humor in the best possible way. It’s light and sweet and fun and Vanessa Paradis plays a Hasidic woman in a brown wig!

We NEVER would have recognized Vanessa Paradis walking around New York with her new haircut. It must be painful to see all those headlines about Johnny Depp’s engagement to 27 year old Amber Heard – she IS 22 years younger than Johnny. And of course, there’s the speculation that she might be pregnant and the fact that he wants several more kids. Vanessa says she’s occasionally nostalgic, but prefers to live happily in the present.

JOHN TURTURRO AND WOODY ALLEN MAKE A WINNING PAIR

John Turturro might be the LAST person we’d picture as a gigolo but he certainly imagines HIMSELF as a plausible ladies man in “Fading Gigolo” John wrote and directed and stars in the movie. He assembled an impressive cast for his comedy. Woody Allen costars as Turturro’s cash-strapped friend who becomes his pimp. Sofia Vergara, Sharon Stone, Vanessa Paradis, and Liev Schreiber add to the fun. It debuts in September at the Toronto Film Festival. John and Woody look like they’re on the same wavelength. We’re looking forward to this one.

Star magazine bought a photo of his blonde flight attendant hugging Johnny Depp hello as he got on his private plane. They went on to speculate that Johnny cheated with this girl, Julie Ellis, 27, and that’s what broke up his 14 year relationship with Vanessa Paradis. Apparently Julie, an LA party girl who moonlights as a nude model, likes the idea of being linked to Johnny and her “friends” say they had a long running affair. Even if that’s true, we don’t really know exactly WHEN Johnny and Vanessa split – plus it’s out of character for him. With girlfriends in the past, he has not been a cheater.
