JEFF GOLDBLUM IS HARD TO BEAT AS A MAD SCIENTIST

What a coincidence! Jeff Goldblum, 65, was honored with his star on the Walk of Fame just as his movie Jurassic World is about to be released! His wife of four years, Emilie, and his two sons Charlie and River were part of the ceremony. Our favorite Jeff Goldblum movie is The Fly from 1986 and he’s actually been toying with the idea of doing a follow-up. Jeff has ideas about how to bring back his deceased character but says he would only do the film if David Cronenberg directed this one too.

JAMES CAMERON CALLS ZOE SALDANA “QUEEN OF THE UNIVERSE”

Zoe Saldana should frame this beautiful photo of her family, taken on the incredible day that she got her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Not many actors can claim that they have several successful movie franchises under their belt, but Avatar star Zoe can, and she is set for life. The only visible flaw in her career is her movie Nina, which was filmed in 2012, and just released in April. When she accepted the role of singer and political activist Nina Simone, there was a huge uproar because she was “too pretty and light skinned” to play the part. The dark makeup and fake nose didn’t help, and the movie flopped – mostly because of the lame script and not Zoe’s valiant but unappreciated efforts. But hey, people make mistakes, and Zoe has everything else going for her. She wanted her husband Marco Perego and three sons Cy, Bowie, and Zen to share her very special Walk of Fame day.

MARY J BLIGE: WORST WIG SO FAR THIS YEAR!

It’s a sad state of affairs when the Queen of Hip Hop, Mary J Blige, has to show up for her Walk of Fame ceremony in this godawful hair. (Congratulations anyway!) This photo will follow her for years to come. It’s time to find a new hair stylist! This is a BIG year for Blige – besides selling tons of music, her new perfume was so successful that she broke HSN records. And she FINALLY got an acting role that proves what a shockingly proficient actress she can be. Mudbound earned her a Golden Globe nomination with more to come. So it makes sense to invest in a suitable hairdresser!

Suburbicon director George Clooney has observed that Donald Trump seems to enjoy fueling the wars between what he calls “coastal elites who live in a bubble ” and middle America. George doesn’t LIKE being called a “Hollywood elite.” He responded “Hollywood elite? I don’t have a star on Hollywood Boulevard, but Donald Trump DOES have a star on Hollywood Boulevard! IT’S AMAZING THAT JENNIFER ANISTON AND JASON BATEMAN NEVER HOOKED UP

Nice to see Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux looking so content together at the ceremony for Jason Bateman’s star on the Walk of Fame. Jennifer and Jason have been friends for 22 years and have made five movies together. Jason has been friendly with both of Jennifer ‘s husbands as well as her assorted boyfriends. Jennifer likes to take a fun group of close friends along when she goes on vacation and Jason and his wife Amanda are always included. So it makes sense that she would make an amusing tribute speech at Jason’s event. Actually, Jennifer and Jason, both 48, would make a great on-screen couple…..

Family John Goodman Walk of Fame

IT’S A GOOD YEAR FOR JOHN GOODMAN

We don’t often see John Goodman, 64, and his family because they live in New Orleans, but they all turned up for his Walk of Fame ceremony this week. Goodman is a lucky guy – he’s been married since 1989 and his long-suffering wife Annabeth has put up with a LOT. John has had a major problem with alcohol over the years and he finally got sober in 2007. And of course, he also has a problem with FOOD and has weighed up to 400 lbs! He seems to have his life in control now, and he helped his daughter Molly find work as a Production Assistant. We LOVED John in last year’s 10 Cloverfield Lane.

RYAN REYNOLDS’ “ONCE IN A LIFETIME” HONOR

We love it when celebrities get a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame and they are obviously REALLY excited about it and grateful. Some actors downplay the honor and make it seem like they are doing us a favor by accepting the recognition. Ryan Reynolds could barely contain his happiness and he brought every family member he could corral. We knew he was REALLY excited because he included his two daughters in the event and he has always kept them undercover. He’s so protective that we don’t even know the name of the baby in his wife Blake Lively‘s arms yet! His 3 year old is named James.

QUENTIN TARANTINO’S LOVE AFFAIR WITH MAYHEM PAID OFF

Quentin Tarantino, 52, got his star on The Walk of Fame just in time to promote The Hateful Eight. (He didn’t dress for the event, did he!) In spite of the fact that Quentin thinks that “Violence is one of the most fun things to watch,” his movies always have some clever dialog and humorous moments. Spike Lee complains that Quentin is “infatuated with the n-word.” Indeed, his latest movie features the forbidden word around 65 times. In spite of his ego and penchant for violence, Quentin’s movies are often highly entertaining. Above, Jackie Brown star Pam Grier came to the Star ceremony to congratulate Quentin.

MARIAH CAREY’S LITTLE BOY LOST IT AT HER WALK OF FAME CEREMONY

Mariah Carey’s little boy Moroccan Cannon got so excited at her Walk of Fame ceremony on Hollywood Blvd that he wet his pants! His nanny picked him up and took him away. Traffic in Hollywood was tied up for HOURS as Mariah drew a huge crowd. It was high noon and a hot day but Mariah chose to wear a black low cut evening gown. She does have an odd fashion sense.
