Janet Jackson’s book “True You: Finding and Loving Yourself” is a bona fide best seller and while she’s on her “Up Close and Personal” 35 city tour, she’s promoting the book between concerts. She popped into Book Soup in Hollywood and was greeting by a line of hundreds of people hoping for signed books. How she has time to fit her boyfriend Wissam Al Mana into her frantic life remains to be seen. He certainly won’t forget her – not long ago she surprised him with a fabulous gift: the much coveted 1964 Lincoln Continental convertible with suicide doors – in mint condition.

JANET JACKSON IS DATING AN ARAB

Janet Jackson was seen last December at a fashion show with Wissam Al Mana (Above, on her right) and they are still an item. Janet was seen with her Arabic boyfriend in Europe after she got her hair cut short. Wissam, 35, happens to be from an oil rich country – Qatar- and his family is loaded. He’s a very hip and fashionable guy, but when he’s home he wears traditional white Arabic apparel. (And most of the Qatar women are still shrouded in black burkas. Get the picture?) It’s nice to see Janet experiencing an educated, sophisticated man, and we think their cultural differences make them a fascinating pair. Although they’re not all THAT different- Janet’s brother Jermaine is Muslim too.
