THINKING OF ADOPTING AN ADULT?

Who knew that A&E channel had a TV series called Adults Adopting Adults? Seems implausible, but it’s true. We only learned about it because Zsa Zsa Gabor’s ninth and final husband Frederic von Anhalt, 77, was chosen to appear on the show and adopt an adult son. Frederic says he has no heirs and wanted someone “to carry on the family name, inherit his possessions, and care for him as he grows older.“ Yes, this whole situation sounds questionable, especially since the “son” is a good looking 27 year old. A&E has had some idiosyncratic shows (Hoarders, Intervention, etc) but this is one we must see to believe…

Estate Sale Prince Frederic von Anhalt Zsa Zsa Gabor

ZSA ZSA GABOR GOT A ROYAL SEND-OFF

Zsa Zsa Gabor’s house was the place to BE this week – it was loaded with amusing people amused by the vast collection of Zsa Zsa’s personal items to be auctioned off at Heritage Auctions. Our personal favorite was her passport – her birth date had been amateurishly changed to make her five years younger. (In the days before 9/11 she could probably get away with that.) Her husband Prince Frederic set up a glamorous red carpet entrance to the house with blow-ups of Zsa Zsa’s vintage magazine covers. “Zsa Zsa LOVED red carpets!” he told me. Frederic greeted everyone with a hug (he loves media) and was continuously interviewed by intrepid German journalists. Adorable LA historian Alison Martino was in her element, absorbing Hollywood history. Tall slender gay men swooned over Gabor’s 1960’s designer dresses, and everyone agreed that the Keane painting of Zsa Zsa was the coolest item there. A good time was had by all…especially the Prince…

THE PRINCE IS AUCTIONING OFF ZSA ZSA GABOR’S OLD PRESCRIPTION BOTTLES!

We just got an email from our friend, idiosyncratic author Matt Maranian, regarding the Heritage auction of Zsa Zsa Gabor’s personal possessions. He said “Looks like the prince has finally figured out a way to squeeze some money from that marriage!” YOU MUST SEE THIS!

We were surprised to see that Zsa Zsa’s husband must have cleaned out every closet and drawer in the house – he’s selling everything from Zsa Zsa’s drivers license and Saks Fifth Ave credit card to her satin clothing hangars AND PRESCRIPTION BOTTLES! Of course there’s plenty of furniture, movie posters (yes, Queen of Outer Space) faux jewelry, and frivolous clothing. This collection is fun to look at, and many items start at $1.00! Something for EVERYBODY!

Fake! Funeral Prince Frederic von Anhalt Thanks for the Memories Zsa Zsa Gabor

ZSA ZSA GABOR FINALLY MARRIED THE WRONG MAN

It’s the final insult for the late Zsa Zsa Gabor, who passed away at the age of 99 at her Bel Air home. In 1986 when Zsa Zsa took Frederic Von Anhalt for her ninth husband, she thought she was marrying royalty – a legitimate German prince – and that made HER royalty too! Eventually she learned that Frederic’s royal ties were questionable at best, but by then she was too ill to object. As her health declined, Zsa Zsa spent most of the last decade in bed in a vegetative state. Fredric sold photos of her looking awful in bed to tabloids! And he cut off her daughter Francesca Hilton’s allowance, so when she died, she was living in her car! All the while, Von Anhalt was “adopting” numerous young men to give them Princely titles. When Zsa Zsa mercifully passed away Dec 18, Fredric hired a publicist to arrange a “star studded” memorial service. A list of celebrities “expected “ was distributed to the media. The “Prince” hoped to earn big bucks for media access. It turns out NONE of the listed celebrities agreed to attend and don’t plan to! A small but genuine memorial service for her friends will be happening in January after the holidays.

ZSA ZSA GABOR: THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES

It’s the end of an era. Zsa Zsa Gabor has passed away at the age of 99. For many years we reported on the adventures of Zsa Zsa, her troubled daughter Francesca, and her assortment of husbands. Back in the early ‘90s, we appeared on a daytime talk show with Zsa Zsa (the subject, of course, was gossip, which she loved) and she was affected, but quite nice and very entertaining. Later when she was married to “Prince” Frederic Von Anhalt we were invited to a party at her home and got to see the house. It had obviously been ostentatious at one time but had become rather run down and shabby. We could only enter a few rooms, but DID love the glass walls that parted and led outside to the pool area. Her Prince WAS charming and friendly – he loves publicity. Zsa Zsa’s friends don’t trust him but he IS quite a character – adopting all those young men and dubbing them “Princes.” Alas, now the house, which sold for around 11 million, will be torn down – we wonder what will become of the “Prince.”

ZSA ZSA’S PRINCE FREDERICK IS STILL RIDING HIGH

Zsa Zsa Gabor’s husband, “Prince” Frederick Von Anhalt, 72, is spending a relaxing afternoon in Beverly Hills wearing knickers and red socks with sneakers. His young male companion might be one of the adult German males that he “adopted” (for a fee) so they can assume a royal title. The legitimacy of his own title has always been in question, but it impressed Zsa Zsa and that’s what matters. Poor Zsa Zsa is 99 years old, bedridden, and completely unaware of her surroundings, but that doesn’t stop Frederick from having fun…

LIFE GOES ON FOR ZSA ZSA GABOR’S HUSBAND

Zsa Zsa Gabor’s daughter Francesca Hilton only died three days ago and already Zsa’s husband Frederic von Anhalt is out on the town. He has a lot to celebrate – his court battles with Francesca over money and her mother’s care are OVER. Zsa Zsa has been bedridden for years and suffers from dementia, so Frederic is usually seen driving alone in his $400,000 Rolls Royce. Last night he turned up at Chateau Marmont in a new Mercedes Benz G-Wagon, so he’s been treating himself well.

LIFE WAS NOT SO EASY FOR ZSA ZSA’S DAUGHTER FRANCESCA HILTON

We lost a memorable – and sometimes tragic – Hollywood character yesterday. Zsa Zsa Gabor’s only child, Francesca Hilton, 67, died of a heart attack/stroke, according to her publicist, Edward Lozzi. Francesca was born average looking into a family of impossibly beautiful women. Her mother was still married to Conrad Hilton when Francesca was born, but she was romancing actor George Sanders and there was always doubt about Francesca’s real father. Francesca struggled to live up to family expectations but she always had a sense of humor and friendly demeanor. She loved gossip and was always very open when talking about her family. She and her mother’s last husband Prince Frederic von Anhalt clashed continuously in court over money and access to ailing Zsa Zsa so Francesca’s last few years have not been easy. She had a big personality and we will miss her.

Behind the Candelabra Francesca Hilton Liberace Zsa Zsa Gabor

FRANCESCA HILTON HAD A LIBERACE FLASHBACK IN HER OWN HOME

Zsa Zsa Gabor’s daughter Francesca Hilton had a startling déjà vu moment when she paid her bedridden mother a visit the other day. Her mother’s house was surrounded by Warner Brothers movie trucks and equipment so it wasn’t easy navigating the property. The housekeeper opened the door and Francesca was greeted by the sight of a bejeweled Liberace in an extravagant silk robe and slippers standing in the foyer. Wow – it was like seeing a ghost. Francesca remembered Liberace as a frequent visitor in her home when she was a young girl. It was, of course, Michael Douglas in character for his HBO movie “Behind the Candelabra.” At that moment Matt Damon, wearing only a blonde wig and underpants, scurried by, and Francesca HAD to laugh. The visit was a success. Zsa Zsa’s husband rented out the house to the film production company for the three week shoot for $70,000.

WHAT HAS ZSA ZSA’S HUSBAND BEEN DOING WITH HER MONEY?

Here’s what’s happening with Zsa Zsa Gabor’s husband “Prince” Frederic Von Anhalt and her daughter Francesca. Francesca has started the process of having a court decide what is best for her mother in terms of financial and medical affairs. She hopes the judge will appoint a third party neutral conservator to manage her mother’s interests. She’s concerned that her mother isn’t receiving needed medical care because she is only allowed to visit infrequently and found her mother appeared to be heavily medicated. When Frederic married Zsa Zsa, the prenup specified the house was ALL hers. Yet he has taken out a $700,000 loan on the house and the document was supposedly co“signed” by unresponsive Zsa Zsa. Hmmm. What’s more, the house is in foreclosure because the Prince hasn’t been paying the mortgage. Where did the money go? (Von Anhalt announced he was running for Mayor last year) Francesca is looking forward to a thorough investigation of Frederic’s financial activities and her mother’s health care. It’s about time!
