We cannot let the death of our namesake, Charlton Heston, slip by without a mention, because he made one of our all time FAVORITE movies. Politics aside, we have to love Charlton for his classic science fiction movie “Soylent Green.” It gave us a big scare because it depicted life in the future as hideously overpopulated, disastrously polluted, and fresh food was just a memory. Death seemed like a pleasant option. Seeing everyone standing in line for water rations, sweating profusely day and night in the yellow atmosphere, made us worry about the environment before it became fashionable. If you missed this film, rent it right away. Presumably, Al Gore already has.

And since you are against Heston’s politics, you must have been against the civil rights movement. If I remember correctly, Heston marched with Dr. King. I don’t remember too many of you libs in Hollyweird doing the same thing.
Heston stood for FREEDOM. Something many dems talk about but prove in their actions they are against as they want the GOV to have control over what you do.
Um, politics aside, I still read your website. When I mention my fav actors, I do not shudder thinking they are Dems, I just admire their work and don’t even bring up their political preference. The same could have been done honoring this great actor.

I’m sure it’s Heston’s more recent political views that she didn’t like. That includes his anti-Bill Clinton tirade and his NRA presidency.
Heston criticized Clinton for his affair with Monica Lewinsky, yet the actor himself was no angel. Heston had been known to fool around occasionally on HIS wife! Maybe even more than occasionally.
Heston was more liberal in the early and mid-1960’s. He did march with MLK. Later, his political views changed drastically.

CHARLTON HESTON WAS AN INCREDIBLE MAN AND WAS HANDSOME AND REAL BABE…HIS WIFE WAS A LUCKY WOMAN.
I REALLY RESPECT THIS MAN AND REALLY LOVED EVERY MOVIE HE HAS DONE IN THE PASS AND HIS ACTING WAS SO AMAZING AND…MOST OF THE MOVIES THAT WHERE ABOUT THE BIBLE….I REALLY LOVE THOSE MOVIES ALOT AND WILL ALWAYS ENJOY UNTIL THE DAY I DIE.
