We agree with director David Fincher – only Christian Bale should play Steve Jobs in a biography of the complicated tech genius. Aaron Sorkin (The Social Network) has researched and written the script. Fincher says the ONLY way he will direct the movie is if Bale plays the part, and the actor hasn’t even been approached yet. We can’t imagine him turning it down, in spite of the fact that Ashton Kutcher’s movie about Jobs was not successful. This new and dynamic combination of talent might make all the difference. Steve Jobs has not been forgotten.

Bale was wonderful in American Hustle, too bad he didn’t win the Academy Award for Best Actor, he really deserved it.

If I am Bale or his agent, I’d turn it down. I don’t think it’s a good career move to play Steve Jobs. Besides, I think people have stopped caring about Steve and frankly, I don’t think people will want to see yet another movie about the guy.
Steve Jobs was an ass and Christian Bale is an angry nut; perfect casting.
I won’t waste my time or money watching it.
Ashton Kutcher playing Steve Jobs was a HUGE example of miscasting. Kutcher,a lightweight semi-talented actor, playing Jobs, a complicated, extreme, passionate genius who has literally changed the world was an insult to the intelligence. Only that faux pas might prevent people from seeing another film on Mr. Jobs.
I agree with everyone above who thinks Ashton is a talent-less a**hole.
A movie such as this is usually boring.
Janet, I completely agree with you for once. Ashton kutcher is a horrible actor, christian bale is magnificent. He’s terrific but mccoughnahey totally deserved the Oscar over him.

he was better(subtle and natural) in OUT OF THE FURNACE…the bridge scene!
for me,Bale was an obvious choice to act Jobs:he has the dedication,the intensity(look THE PRESTIGE),the talent,the light lisp and a certain resemblance
