forestchiklisNow that Forest Whitaker has his Oscar for Best Actor, he can look back fondly at the time he spent on The Shield TV series. Last season he played an internal affairs type officer looking for crooked cops on the show. Naturally he clashed with Michael Chiklis’ character who IS a questionable cop. Both actors are former football players and they had a confrontation scene where they had to run and slam into each other. It was carefully choreographed with stuntmen ready to step in, so no one would get hurt. When it was time to film the scene, the two macho guys rushed at each other and instead of veering, they actually COLLIDED at full speed and were both knocked sprawling to the ground. Ouch! (Observers thought the two guys were both too egotistical to duck out of the way- neither would back off) Forest stood up, angry, “We rehearsed this! – what’s wrong with you?” Michael blamed Forest for the pile-up. They took a short break, but there was tension on the set, and the guys just didn’t seem as friendly after that.

That doesn’t sound like the Forest Whitaker I know. The guy I know is very mild mannered, gentle and polite.

what ever happened, let them hate each other cuz it makes for good acting between the two as both hate each other on the show.
Btw, Michael is not a big guy. Forest shadows over him.
The Shield is an AWESOME show. Much more entertaining that many of the shows on tv now.
Can’t wait for it in April.

    Forest TOWERS over Chiklis.
Both are known for being nice guys, and serious character actors. Perhaps they just got caught up in the moment?

Go to the box, hang your head and feel shame.
Forest was great in Hill Street Blues.

I Like it!!!Because some of the men where Hot as Hell and the acting was outstanding to some degree and I Looked at the story in a whole new way and I liked the fact that it had care and love and concern but at the same time the movie can be heartless and ruthless and people thinking they are above everything and every one and aggressive and pushy and fearful of those times and makes you think about? How some one came up with this idea and some one who wrote the story made the world apart of something that is full of dreams and showing another way in life and Thanking God that life was not truly like that at any time and that is Myth and Legends and fears and proving that something like that could not be true but (CLASH OF THE TITANS) Truly a dream of a man..Who has left something on this earth 1000s of years later that men and woman all over the world love and dream some history that is not true to some degree but is true in other areas to some degree?

One of America’s Sweethearts is battling a serious drug addiction- not hers, but her best friend’s. Through the years these two have been stuck to one another like white on rice and her fame rubbed off on her pal. They’ve been roomies, have worked together on set, and even launched a business venture together. But all that success has come with a price. After years of being sober, the less famous friend has fallen HARD off the wagon and our gal doesn’t know what to do. She’s hosted an intervention, hired an addiction specialist, and even threatened to end the friendship, but nothing seems to work. What’s a girl to do?
