ANOTHER Yankee with airplane problems! Today third baseman Alex Rodriguez was in a private plane that didn’t stop soon enough and over -ran the runway at Burbank airport, landing with a thump in a sand pit, designed for the purpose of stopping runaway planes. The two crew members and five passengers had an abrupt scare but it ended quickly. It took nearly two hours of investigation before the passengers were allowed to deplane from the sand pit that stopped the plane. A-Rod, considered one of the most valuable Yankees, downplayed the incident, insisting it was no big deal.
Uh, Janet…AROD is a good player but I don’t think NY is feeling much love for him right now. He dropped the ball this year, especially in the playoffs (with the rest of the Yankees).
He definitely is no Albert Pujols.
