“COMING OUT” REALITY SHOW CANCELED- STARS WOULDN’T COME OUT

Three years ago, celebrity publicist Howard Bragman announced that he was developing a reality show called “Coming Out” and he was looking for closeted celebrities to appear on the show and announce their sexual preference. We thought it was a fascinating but unrealistic idea. One of Howard’s specialties is helping famous people come out gracefully and he had worked with Lance Bass, Chaz Bono, and Dick Sargent. The reality show never came together because no stars wanted to come out! So in spite of the progress gays have achieved, “coming out” is still a courageous and difficult act.

I think the correct reference is “sexual orientation,” not “sexual preference.”

When Clooney, Cruise, and Travolta come out, then you will have a hit show.

When Bloomberg, NY Governor, Andrew Cuomo, and Obama comes out, then it will be all time ratings bonanza.

Hey gays, a lot of you don’t need to come out; us straights can tell with a lot of you, ie; lance bass, Adam lambert, clai Aiken, etc…

We know you’re gay and could care less. We still love you or dislike you just like we do any straight.

I was dying for this show to air! Damn it, now I’m forced to watch reruns of Welcome Back Kotter and look for signals from Travolta.

    BLIND_ITEM_NEW_#CUT

One of America’s Sweethearts is battling a serious drug addiction- not hers, but her best friend’s. Through the years these two have been stuck to one another like white on rice and her fame rubbed off on her pal. They’ve been roomies, have worked together on set, and even launched a business venture together. But all that success has come with a price. After years of being sober, the less famous friend has fallen HARD off the wagon and our gal doesn’t know what to do. She’s hosted an intervention, hired an addiction specialist, and even threatened to end the friendship, but nothing seems to work. What’s a girl to do?
