Elegant actress Dana Wynter has died at the age of 79. She starred in many Hollywood movies and appeared on countless TV shows, but will always be best remembered for her role in the science fiction classic “Invasion of the Body Snatchers.” She played Becky, the love interest of Kevin McCarthy, in this 1956 thriller that is surely among the most frightening movies ever made. (It’s about small town residents being replaced by robotic lookalikes grown in pods.) “Body Snatchers” has been remade several times, but the original is still by far the best.

I love scary movies. Gosh, I loved this movie so much. I remember it scared the crap out of me at the time. lol Dana Wynter was so beautiful! I would have saved her from those pods!! lol
One of my all time favorite Twilight Zone episodes was called, “Long Live Walter Jameson.” It had Kevin McCarthy in it. It’s about a college history professor that is virtually immortal.

Why not make it a regular/semi-regular feature; you could recommend an oldie but goodie and your readers could add the films to their Netflix queues (there may be a cross-branding opportunity there, too).

Janet I just read an obit in the L.A. Times of a famous B flik actress from the fifties who was a Playboy model as well. Apparently her mummified body was discovered after a year in her home by a neighbour. Did you catch that? Yesterdays Times I believe.

In life you never know what you do is going to make the world love you…As an actor you take a role because you have a feeling.
The feeling you may have could be for all the right reason and…You may need the money and or your not really crazy about the part but you do it any way and some how it hits people and they fall in love with you over that little part.
In life you gather a fan for some strange reason and that is collecting people that become attracted to you for your part and it could be on your words and your words have meaning and understanding behind it.
It is the Power you have in your voice and it has something with the way you look and how attractive they may find you.
Some woman gather a crush on your charming good looks and your manner of speech and men may want to be like you and love the style of dress and or what ever role you may play…THERE IS SUCH A THING AS A ROLE MODEL.
YOU Have to do something to get attention as an actor and your role is made in stone.
SHOULD ALWAYS BE PROUD OF YOUR LIFE AND THE DIRECTION THAT WAS TAKEN FOR THIS CLASSIC WAY IN LIFE.
