We are totally enamored with this photo of Daniel Day Lewis taken at the New York premier of his excellent “There Will Be Blood.” We happen to think he has an amazing fashion sense, and this unique plaid suit reminds us of his under-appreciated movie “Gangs of New York.” Not only was Daniel brilliant in the film, but Sandy Powell should, at the very least, have won an Oscar for best costume design for the astonishing period menswear. Yes, we have an affinity for plaid.

  1. …this is news, how? zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  2. gangs of new york was a horrible violent film panned by the critics. u have to be joking.

  3. i saw him walking in union square ny ten years ago, unlike most actors he appears taller in person.
he was very striking looking and dressed to kill.
THATS the story, nice to hear about someone else than parishiltonlindesylohanbritneyspears
    blah blah blah

  4. I think he looks great. It’s refreshing to see a tall man with a fit body wearing a well-tailored suit. I’m so sick of young guys walking around in droopy drawers, who walk like they’re carrying a dump in their pants. Most of them wouldn’t know how to wear a suit, let alone have shoes other than sneakers.

  5. 4:4, hes been married for years to rebecca miller.
arthur miller’s daughter, they have young children.
this marriage doesnt mean he’s not gay though but i havent heard any rumors about him being gay- just a wierdo.
he had an affair with julia roberts at the time she was dating actor jason patric.
the rumor is patric dumped roberts when he found out she was cheating on him with day-lewis.

  6. Jeebus.
When did he start channeling Fred Gwynne?
This pic makes him look like he’s just cut a mean one
