Danny Glover is quite sensitive and does NOT want to talk about his Lethal Weapon franchise costar and good friend, Mel Gibson. Danny was in Minneapolis hosting a fundraiser for Native Americans when our intrepid comrade-in-gossip, CJ, from the StarTribune cornered him for an interview. He was all smiles UNTIL CJ asked a loaded question: “Do you have the kind of friendship with Mel Gibson that allows you to tell him when he’s out of line?” Danny frowned and squirmed “I have a respectful friendship … all I have to say is ‘I love Mel Gibson.’ What Mel and I say to each other is my private life and I’m NOT writing a book! NEXT QUESTION? “
Good for him. The worth of a friend can be found in difficult times. The fact that he is still willing to defend his friend after all that has happened is admirable.

Mel Gibson must be an awesome guy. No matter how the Jewish press tries to turn us against him, he still has many loyal fans and even more loyal celebrity friends. Jodi foster will probably scratch Janet’s eyes out for printing anything against Mel.
