DELIRIOUS IS MORE THAN WORTH THE PRICE OF ADMISSION

If you’re smart, you’ll bypass the multiplex this week and head straight for the nearest independent theater showing Delirious. It reminded us of the brilliance of Midnight Cowboy in terms of originality and character development. It’s obviously a smaller budget feature but packs a lot of humor and surprises into less than two hours. Steve Buscemi plays Les, a desperate paparazzi who befriends a homeless youth, Toby, portrayed by Michael Pitt. Their sordid lives are in dire contrast to the glittering celebrities the photographer stalks. Gena Gershon and her lips are compelling as a casting director who takes a shine to Toby, and Alison Lohman is fun as a mentally fragile popstar. It’s one of the best movies of the year – give it a glance. Afterward, you can thank us by telling your friends about this website!

  1. Everybody’s talking at me
    I don’t hear a word they’re saying,
Only the echoes of my mind.
    People stopping staring,
    I can’t see their faces,
Only the shadows of their eyes.
Who cares about losers and the perv-vulgar lives of abusers and the elite! BYW Midnight cowboy sucked, but the song was great. Ratso DEAD was best ending!

  2. Whatever happen to John Voiet ?
(whatever)… Didn’t he like a pretty daughter, hmmm.
Remember now, I’m in the sticks of Tennessee. Not in Hollywood.
Actually ask Debbie McQueen about the great big Harley Davidson Dealership she visited when she was checking out the Eagles on Reelfoot lake.
    That’s my little town.
Wonder what Debbie McQueen is up to these days ????

  3. Oooops I mean, Barbara McQueen.
From what I’ve heard of her she’s a real adverturesome person carrying on the spirit of her late husband.

  4. Janet, you need to stop plugging your friend’s movies. You have horrible taste and lack of insight.

  5. I LOVED THIS MOVIE.
I especially enjoyed the relationship between Les and Toby. I thought it was very human and real. This was just a really good, honest movie depicting the celebrity lifestyle and those that follow celebrities, why they do it, etc. It was just really interesting and thought provoking.
