Certain sources INSIST that Johnny Depp‘s relationship with Vanessa Paradis imploded because he fell for Amber Heard while filming “The Rum Diary” (It was released in October, 2011) and they have been secretly together ever since. Yet we have NO sightings of them together, except at the movie’s premiers (top photo.) Granted, Amber DID describe filming The Rum Diary as “The best experience of my life,” but at that same time she “came out” as bisexual and introduced her attractive girlfriend, artist/photographer Tasya van Ree. She came two or more years ago. Why would she be interested in Depp? I don’t believe they are an item.
IMHO when you claim to be bi-sexual, then you have no morals. Also, all kind of sex germs can be transmitted. Gross. I do think Johnny is now sowing his wild oats and is trying to break up with Vanessa. He’s been linked (via the gossip mags) with others, such as Angelina Jolie, who truly has no morals.

Just watched this movie this past weekend, and yes, there definately was chemistry! Johnny is a good actor, but he’s not that good. He was definately into her on and off screen.
She is a pretty smokin’ hot lady, and it would be pretty hard for any straight man not to interested in her.

Johnny only dates waifs! Amber Heard is too tall and voluptuous. She has breasts for God’s sake! See, that is why I can believe the Olson twin (whichever one it was) and Johnny had a fling but not this one. I do think he is going thru a mid-life crisis and he and Vanessa are kinda split but not really. After he buys the red convertible (or finishes playing in rock performances)and gets it all out of his system, he will go back to Vanessa and all will be right with the world.

Why does he have to be having a midlife crisis to want to split from Paradis? Maybe he’d had enough of being kept away from his kids while living in separate housing or on the road, and during a 2yr separation realized he wasn’t in love with Vanessa anymore. Meeting someone else he felt attracted to probably spurred his decision to start the New Year untethered to Paradis. Both Depp & Paradis wore their engagement rings during the 2yr separation. but stopped wearing them after the reports he left her at New Year’s 2012.
Eva and Depp have a lot in common, and Amber is a fan of Hunter Thompson, Depp’s dear friend. If Amber & Depp joined forces, I don’t think it was until the premiere tour for The Rum Diary in Fall 2011, when Depp was in bad shape. As long as the split’s been taking, Vanessa must be trying to drag out the terms out of spite or something. He won’t be going back to Paradis, period.
