DID SETH MEYERS’ TRIUMPH BRUISE HOWARD STERN’S EGO?
We couldn’t help but wonder why Seth Meyers was selected to take over Jimmy Fallon’s Late Night show instead of Howard Stern. In March, Howard was described in the New York Post as “being prepped’ to take over Jimmy’s vacated spot. Other media sources agreed that the “king of all media” was a top contender and it seemed highly probable – until you take a closer look. While Howard is a great interviewer, he’s not accustomed to doing monologues or preparing scripted comedy skits. Seth has been head writer on SNL for years and does the Weekend Update segment. Maybe Howard asked for too much money – he’s accustomed to gigantic paydays, or maybe Howard doesn’t want a five day a week high pressure job. Whatever, we think Stern will turn up with a late night talk show someday, somewhere…

A lot of these talentless Jew aren’t worth their weight in matza, but Howard is the most talented person on the planet. If he hosted a late night talk show I would watch. These other losers are not funny or innovative. Jimmy kimmel tries to copy everything howard does and jimmy Fallon and this Seth person are boring, and unfunny.

Lorne M hates Stern. Stern’s people leaked that silly story to the Post. The gig was between Seth and Molly Shannon. They should have gone with Molly. This will be a disaster.

Jimmy Fallon, Seth Meyers and Loren Michaels will fail at late night. These two are such girly boys and Loren thinks he knows better with his SNL/NYC myopic views. Letterman and Kimmel will vie for number one. Like him or not Jay Leno is number one. NBC cancels it number one show in Jay at Late Night and wonders why they are in last place in the ratings.

I think Jimmy Fallon will do ok. Seth Meyers, on the other hand, seems like a bad choice.

Howard Stern is SO over-the-hill, and this coming from a senior citizen! Seth Meyers is absolutely the best choice.

Ageism has a lot to do w/ the choice, as well as Janet’s reasons. I think Molly Shannon would have been GREAT. It will be interesting to see if Meyers grows into the role… but it’s time for a late night woman host. Chelsea Handler is not in this category! 🙂

I don’t care about age or race or religion or sex, if they insist on having a late night show they need someone interesting like Chris rock or a Howard stern, they are the only people on a whole different level that could be a guaranteed success. All these other losers are just that.
