Another loss we cannot ignore is the death of one of our personal heroes, former UK Prime Minsiter Margaret Thatcher. She paved the way for women in politics and if there is a female president in our lifetime, it will be thanks to her. How can you NOT love a woman who stood for less government and lower taxes? She disciplined the unions and encouraged free enterprise above big government. Thatcher rescued Britain from ruin and led the country into a renaissance. We eagerly anticipate the first female president in THIS country. (Above, Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan.)

Janet are you joking with this ridiculous post?

Clearly you didn’t live in the UK during this dark period.

If only you were aware of the suffering this Woman’s ill conceived policies wrought….

“This is not a time for celebration. The death of Margaret Thatcher is nothing more than a salient reminder of how Britain got into the mess that we are in today. Of why ordinary working people are no longer able to earn enough from one job to support a family; of why there is a shortage of decent affordable housing; of why domestic growth is driven by credit, not by real incomes; of why tax-payers are forced to top up wages; of why a spiteful government seeks to penalise the poor for having an extra bedroom; of why Rupert Murdoch became so powerful; of why cynicism and greed became the hallmarks of our society.”

Great point, I agree – she did lead Britain out of the dark ages –

She didn’t care what misery her policies created. I feel it is ironic that she spent the last 8 years gaga.

Janet, yet again, you illustrate that you’re minimally exceptional.

Mrs.Thatcher was a nightmare for our country, her tenure as PM was marked by rampant poverty, increased violence and social un-rest, a Reganesque deregulation of banking, which outcome is tragically still being felt today, she was, not un-like your GOP, small minded and exclusionist. An abject failure, a kleptocrat, who represented her class, but certainly not her people.

RIP indeed, but, stick to Kim and the Osbornes Janet, social theory, is not gossip.

Thatcherism was a national catastrophe, and we remain trapped by its consequences.

the UK is in the midst of the third great economic collapse since the Second World War: all three have taken place since Thatcherism launched its great crusade. This current crisis has roots in the Thatcherite free market experiment, which wiped out much of the country’s industrial base in favour of a deregulated financial sector.

A poisoned “debate” about social security rages in Cameron’s Britain. It focuses on the idea that there are large numbers of people stuck on benefits. It is certainly true that there were more people languishing in long-term unemployment last year than there were in all forms of unemployment 40 years ago.

In large part, this is a consequence of Thatcherism’s emptying communities of millions of secure, skilled industrial jobs. Large swathes of Britain – mining villages, steel towns and so on – were devastated, and never really recovered.

that’s her real legacy, and little else, except the PR bullshit

Janet this woman was also responsible for covering up the death of innocent Irish on Bloody Sunday. Please do a little more research before singing her praise.

Wow, Janet. Get informed. You may be good a gossip. But you are ignorant regarding Thatcher.

Oh please, she was a friend of the pedophile jimmy saville. Every morning, when one had to look under their car before starting it, she remembered full well the terror she inflicted upon the 6 counties.Thatcher’s neo-liberalism was like heroin. Destroyed in the long run. this is not an ideological battle of left vs right, GOP vs Dems, Socialism vs liberty. This is ethnic warfare against white people. Why are hostile globalist elite defending Israel as a Jewish ethnostate with Jewish only immigration, but ravaging white majority Europe/North America into a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural Gulag with dystopian non-White colonization? Why do gullible Whites kowtow to murderous Jewish/Crypto-Jewish bolshevik commissars, who butcher White soldiers in bankrupting wars, confiscate White people’s guns, infiltrate & subvert our banks & spying agencies, indoctrinate White children in academia/mass media, & plunder White jobs, wages? 3rd world colonizers are annihilating Whites, Genocidal Jewish Bolshevik terrorists slaughtered 100 million White European Christians from 1917-1991.Gullible Whites should reject subversive Jewish ideologies – libertarianism, liberalism, socialism, & reject hostile slanders of racism, collectivism. White people must unite & organize to defend & advance their families, their fertility, their interests, their homelands.

I think you MUST be trying to bait your readers? Anyone with 1 brain cell knows what Thatcher did to Britain and Reagan did to America. ALL for the RICH at the expense of the poor.

Naomi Klein brilliantly illustrated the twisted history Thatcher/Reagan and Disaster Capitalism in The Shock Doctrine. Everyone should watch it:

@Hello: Go back to calling yourself Strom.

The only philosophy gullible whites accept is the one peddled by Fox News & The Tea Party loons.

Whites accepted the philosophies peddled by the government and t.v. shows. Don’t only blame fox news and tea party loons. I am so glad you didn’t notice the government using soldiers to be send off to be killed to peddle democracy all over the world when it is really about taking over natural resources, banks and making people poorer.

Go back to living in a bubble.

This is the last time i will read your website, and with regret. I am British and lived through Thatcher’s tenure as prime minister. She decimated our country. She ended the steel and coal Industries, killing entire towns and communities, privatised the rail industry which meant it is now expensive, dangerous and ill ran, caused years of misery in northern I
reland, made gathering for outdoor raves illegal, was friends and funded dictators like pinochet, sold off council housing to the highest bidder meaning people couldn’t afford their own lifelong houses…..the list goes on. Rich people got richer and the working classes and middle classes suffered. And my, hasn’t that all worked out well for us….england is now on a triple dip recession.
