Drai’s Hollywood at the top of the W Hotel on Hollywood Boulevard recently opened and it’s a lush and extravagant new nightspot aimed at big spenders. Therefore we were surprised to be informed of the “dress code” there. In Los Angeles a dress code seems puzzling and somewhat anachronistic. (Usually security people at club entrances decide on the spot which outfits don’t make the cut.) But Drai’s patrons are encouraged to observe the following:
“Dress Code: Upscale casual – Guys: no work boots, open toe shoes, shorts, jump suits ect. (sic) Jeans are ok as long as they are not super baggy or holey. Ladies: can pretty much wear anything except imprinted or bedazzled dresses.”
Will Kanye West be turned away in his falling-down pants? We doubt it. Will Pamela Anderson be sent home in her “bedazzled” dress? We think not. These rules are made for US!

Don’t rent a room to Lindsay Lohan; she has trashed many a hotel room/suite. Also, I hope they have a list of GollyWeird bad boys and girls who have a rep for partying all night and leaving rooms in total filth and destruction.

If they let the riff-raff check in to their oh-so-fab hotel, the pool will be filled at least 1/3 with pee.
If they let the high-faluting big names in to their oh-so-fab hotel, the pool will be filled only about 1/4 with pee.
So basically….no HEATHERETTE for the ladies!
This is a hot club?? Back in my day that was SCREAM and GROUND ZERO….2 filthy clubs that were amongst the best this city has ever known…work boots and dirty jeans were the norm.
There was the disco extravaganza that was THE APARTMENT…..that was 80’s high fashion to the max…..but never a dress code….or even a door policy for that matter.
This town gets tackier….and tackier!!
