It’s an impromptu “Dynasty” reunion at the BAFTA Awards in London. The show went off the air in 1989 and it’s remarkable how glamorous these three English leading ladies – Emma Samms, Joan Collins, and Stephanie Beacham, still look. We hunted for an old photo of them together on the Dynasty set for comparison, but apparently they never had a scene together. We DO remember Joan Collins insisting that producer Aaron Spelling provide REAL – and expensive- champagne for drinking scenes, and she would only wear genuine diamonds – no fakes.

Emma Samms looks great for 50, Stephanie Beacham looks amazing for 64, and Collins looks really great for 178 (bc)…..just kidding….she’s 78. lol
Bet Collins could really spill the beans with lots of gossip from the old Hollywood.

What a blast from the past, even if the story lines were campy & out there, at least they were entertaining. These gals still look good. Their shoulder pads sat where they belonged, unlike the over inflated, silicone shoulder pads of today which sit too far apart & too south.

Emma Samms looks better now than she ever did. I would have never guessed it was her. Her face is much more slender now.
@yoyo, My wife loved Dynasty! The clothes of the 80’s was something else and really cool. I can still remember my wife wearing the bright colored jumpsuits with the thick belts and having the largest blonde hair on the street!!! lol

Joan is old school show business. She has been a star in Europe, and a superstar in America. I remember for the cliffhanger in DY-NASTY, Joan showed up for the witness stand decked out to the 9’s with that over the top hat that had a life of its own. You knew from the beginning of her first appearance on that show, that she was someone to be reckoned with.
I remember when Joan married that younger guy Peter Holm and when she found out that he was a chetah (cheater) with his “Passion Flower” she kick him to the curb. He was begging Joan for alimony and walking around with a sign that said Holmless. Back in the day Joan was called the poor man’s Liz Taylor. Joan was dating Warren Beatty when Elizabeth became ill while preparing for the role of Cleopatra. Joan was on standby if Elizabeth’s health did Not improve. Joan was very much in “lust” with Warren and did Not want to have to leave to go on location. Warren told her Not to worry, referring to Elizabeth Taylor, Warren stated “that woman has 9 lives”. In reference to Ryan O’Neal, Joan said a woman should have the best on her birthday, and he was. It is typical Joan to be healthy and happily married to a man years younger than her.

I enjoyed her scenes with Diahann Carroll trying to out bitch each other. I enjoyed her love scenes with Michael Nader (Dex Dexter) but the last time I saw him with a group of soap stars a few months back on Oprah, he was an unrecognizable shadow of who he was on DY-NASTY!!

A lot of those lines cannot be said today I know that… That show was way off charts of fabulousity.
Joan is said to have had more men between her lega than any white woman in Hollywood. The winner by sheer numbers of men is said to be Diana Ross, who liked them by the droves when she was young, BLACK, and very horned up!
I remember the style for a moment and felt really stupid wearing the pads and kept feeling like a foot ball player and I remember I stopped completely 100% at buying anything with puff sleeves and I thought at that time what in the Hell I was thinking but that style really sucked and I never followed the story line and it seems really boring to me and the only thing that got my attention…Because every one could not stop talking about it was who shot J.R. But other then that I never noticed the Drama.
I was addicted to this show until that crazy wedding when everyone got shot. Wasn’t this also one of the first TV shows with a prominent gay character, the son Steven?

That blood-fest of a wedding was the beginning of the end for the viewers of Dynasty!!
I never watched the show because I wasn’t into soap operas at the time OR the horrible fashions that the show spawned. BUT I will say the best looking lady in the picture above is Lady Joan! Amazing plastic surgery to be sure that hasn’t pulled her face into a windswept facade with eyes and black hair. Wouldn’t it be interesting to see what her REAL look would be? But I’m happy she’s still getting laid at her age and I plan to follow her example!

Add the Name of Jodie Dallas portrayed by comedian Billy Crystal in the sitcom Soap. In the early 70’s there was a Movie of the Week starring Hal Holbrook and Martin Sheen called That Certain Summer!!
I think this woman should just hang it up and move on and…Take time with there family and friends and grandchildren but to keep trying to come back and make more money is going to look sad after a while.
Don’t get me wrong this woman are still Beautiful but to keep working…WHO IS GOING TO HIRE THEM AND MAYBE THEY SHOULD LOOK AT A DIRECTION OF STEPPING OUT OF WHAT THEY BUILT THERE CAREERS ON AND GO ANOTHER DIRECTIONS AND THAT MEANS TO GET PARTS IN MOVIES WHERE THEY ARE NOT ACTING LIKE THERE OLD SELVES.
I Just think when your career is over and your looks are shot without the make up and wigs and take off everything…THIS WOMAN ARE WASHED UP AND NEED TO BOW OUT GRACEFUL LIKE AND BE LADIES AND LEAVE AND JUST GO ON AND HAVE ANOTHER PART OF LIFE AND JUST CHILL AND TAKE IT EASY AND TAKE SOME TIME TO SMELL THE ROSES.
