EGOS AND ETHICS ASIDE, CBS WANTS CHARLIE BACK UNDER HIS TERMS

The Charlie Sheen story took the biggest twist of all today. After Charlie filed suit against CBS for firing him, it LOOKED LIKE producers were thinking of recasting the show. But Charlie’s enduring popularity and ability to sell out concerts must have gotten them thinking they were fools to reject a cash cow – even a mad one. The only easy solution for all the bad press and lawsuits was to kiss and make up. Two and a half million dollars an episode for “Two and a Half Men” will certainly get Charlie’s attention. Chuck Lorre – the target of Charlie’s insults- will have to put his ego aside in the name of profits. Time to forget about taking the high road.

  1. If they are stupid enough to take him back they deserve everything they get when he implodes

  2. Looks like old Charlie Boy may be “Winning” after all. I feel they are willing to talk now that his crazy ranting has subsided. They may actually be able to have an intelligent conversation with him now.

Maybe CBS is planning to ffind a more legitimate reason to fire him in the future.

  3. Americans once made ‘Dukes of Hazzard’ their number one show. Is it any surprise that they want to watch this rubbish on television?

  4. I said it, right at the beginning. I knew it. S@it. This is show BUSINESS. And CBS and WB are too long in the tooth not to recognize and respect that fact…

  5. NOBODY is worth that amount of money for a stupid, overdue to be canceled TV sitcom. Let alone a hooker screwing, drug and alcohol abusing, crazy as shit asshole who is his own biggest fan. I was SO hoping to never see or hear about him again. He really needs to get back up on that roof and realize how well he can fly with his incredible powers. SICKOFIT!

  6. Really — The only reason his shows are selling out is because people want to watch him go crazy on stage…like watching an accident. Keep him off TV!

  7. Money talks people. I feel bad for Jon Cryer who, after being called a troll, will have to go back to work with that d-bag. They should bump up his salary and call it battle pay.

  8. Pippa always sounds angry and obsessed with America. Gee, aren’t the British a foggy headed, pasty skinned, bunch of inbred drunks? Maybe someone from America broke Pippa’s heart?

I am with Reta. I am sick of Charlie Sheen! He’s got just enough remaining brain cells to keep himself out of a mental facility……but for how long?

  9. ITA Palermo…and he will implode. I don’t get it…it’s a formula show, unlike Three’s Company, and yet the viewers lap it up. I am glad for Jon Cryer and the kid, they don’t deserve what Charlie has done, and at least they’ll still have a job. I wonder how the crew will feel towards him. Everyone will secretly hate him, but money is money, and they all have to make a living.

  10. The only way they should bring him back is to “Suzanne Somers” him-make him fulfill the length of his contract, but as a disembodied voice on the phone. Or maybe have his character fall into a coma, so that he’d have to be on set every day but he wouldn’t have a single line. Plus he should know that he’ll never drink another cup of coffee on that set that hasn’t been spit in, or worse.

  11. The only way Charlie could redeem himself is to give away his year’s salary to the poor.

  12. From a business perspective; everyone is a viper. Lorre shoud have FIRED sheen’s ass long ago for domestic violence….then CBS just let the bad press make heaps of $$$ for them….while enabling Sheen. FINALLY, they fire him. On grounds. They would win the suit.

But hey, the ignorant masses will pay to watch an execution, it seems…..so goodby morals, hello $$$$ and we don’t care if we BLATENTLY support a violent abusive addicted psychotic.

    Lovely to be an American.

  13. Great. Reward bad behavior and set an example for the next showbiz moron who decides to act like an ass.
