Tiger Woods’ ex-wife Elin Nordegren is quietly selling all the jewelry her errant husband gave her wile they were married – and she doesn’t want anyone to know. She intends to get rid of the trinkets that remind her of her marriage so she’s having Sotheby’s sell the stuff. She instructed that it be sold without provenance – even though it might sell for a lot more money if buyers knew where it came from. Much of her collection will be in an upcoming auction.

Unlike so many others, she has really handled this whole thing in a very classy manner, I respect her for it. Compare that to people like David Arquette who goes and tells too many details about sex lives etc.
I was a piece of shit in my life and cheated on my wife and I feel that what Elin has done very well for herself and the best of luck with her.
Sure she is classy – she is not American, or worse, British.

She really is a very classy lady. Sure hope she gives some of the money to a charity. Lord knows she definately doesn’t need the money!!
Sure she went through a rough and embarrassing time, but now she can live a life one can only dream of. But when she starts dating, she will never know if it is her or her money they love.
She started out much less than classy by marrying the black Tiger but ended it in a private and classy manner after so much public embarrassment.
I doubt the wives of many of the NFL and NBA stars have the brains to do this but she may set an example for a few of them.

Sorry aeduko, but you have to admit that Britain has generally gotten a lot less classy, even trashing over the last 30 or 40 years.
The Brits kind of created this nasty celebrity-obsess culture we have now. I am an anglophile, but I have to say Britain took a huge slide during that Cool Britannia period in the 90’s – The Spice Girls, the bad behavior of the Gallager brothers, people seeing Edina and Patsy (of Ab Fab) as role models instead of Guys to be mocked, Princess Diana stringing along the Paparazzi and using the gossip industry to hurt the royal family, etc, etc.

Two peas, hardly. Generally if I make a comment about America, I include Canada in that. After all, we are just an American territory, like Puerto Rico, minus the good weather and interesting food.
In fact, and Canadian who has half a brain, and is honest would tell you Canada is the perfect combination of the worst of Britain and the U.S.
For months, Elin Woods handled herself with grace, dignity and self respect. When she was ready to say something,she did not go to
the ragmags,she went to People Magazine with this being the only interview that she was going to give.It has got to be a sad time when a marriage end,especially when there are 2 children from that marriage.I can easily believe that Elin will continue to live quietly with no scandal on her radar.
She deserves,and I wish the best for Elin and her family.
