ENTER WITH CAUTION AND EXIT LAUGHING WITH TRACY RICHMAN

We just finished reading the most entertaining memoir written by Tracy Richman – it’s called “Enter With Caution” but we think “Confessions of a Hollywood Party Girl” better describes it. It’s so juicy (but thankfully NOT vulgar) we hated to put it down! Tracy’s had a fun and fascinating life – she arrived in Hollywood as a mature and sexy looking young teen and she had adventures with the likes of Michael Jackson, Bill Maher, OJ Simpson, Magic Johnson, Charlie Sheen, Don Johnson and MANY more. Tracy kept an enthusiastic journal of her activities in the 70’s thru the 90’s and all the famous places she visited. (Remember “Vertigo?”) We were highly amused by her candid encounters with Jack Nicholson. She described his house as modest – a “little hippie home”– with “a billion dollars worth of artwork crammed on the walls.” Despite Tracy’s negative review of his movie “Two Jakes,” Jack started calling her regularly for trysts or phone sex. He actually tried to set her up with Rebecca Broussard, but both women rejected the idea. After reading about her escapades, it makes sense that Tracy is now a “dating coach.” Get her book at Amazon and enjoy!

  1. I too read this book and it was a roller coaster ride, filled with humore and this message was also in it. Her life makes you realize no matter who you are or where u come from, all your dreams can come true. So I found it inspiring most of all. It rocks!

  2. NAH…I’ll pass…lived my own life during that time frame and it WAS a pretty exciting time back then to say the least, but I don’t need to relive it now. Never heard of this chick and her screwing half of Hollywood doesn’t exactly qualify her as an expert in time travel, if you get my drift. And threesomes are NEVER as exciting as the fantasy…keep that shit in your head and enjoy the view people, the “doing” is usually just and awkward, penis deflating bore!

  3. I’ve met this beautiful woman and was working with her for months on my dating issues. She was the coolest girl ever. She knows what she’s talking about when it comes to men alot more!!!! Good for her, Can’t wait to buy it!

  4. I read this book too. What is so fun is how Tracy doesn’t sleep with any of these guys, a couple, but she blows them off and that’s the funny part, the way she does it. The book moves so fast, and is really about an era, and a chick with cool fun personality. I highly recomend it!

  5. Tracy needs to write a second book. I am much younger but thought the parts about her and Madonna on the dance floor and the funny polaroid scene with Princess Stepahnie was great. it’s also nice to read about Whitney Houston haangin gout with her at Eddie Murphy’s house before she was married to Bobby and a very fun girl. I feel so bad now for Whitney. She was a greeat singer.

  6. Of all these men listed, Magic Johnson is the only one I know that is HIV positive. I don’t know about the rest, but there must be some. I hope Tracy and all her lovers get checked out for diseases.

  7. Read the book dude. She never slept with Magic. It’s about her circle of friends and the great stories she was able to tell, about her life as a clothing designer, and going to the greatest nightclubs. Anyone who makes comments on this book before they read it is stupid. This girl had a great story, and a life that was fun. It’s not about sex with these men. They were her good friends.

  8. Janet you finally posted a book worth reading! I can see why you loved it. She writes about the coolest time this country will ever know. It’s intelligent, very funny, and not a trashy tell all like most these books stoop down to. This girl has a blast with her life even when people try to stop her from her dreams. 5 stars on this one. Summer reading at its best! thanks Janet!

  9. I ordered this book a few weeks ago. Forget the celebs, Tracy talks about something way more powerful. In her teens she already was writing about the phony FDA and huge Corporations lying to us. This woman is brilliant. No wonder all these men wanted her. She was so interesting. I will be interviewing this woman right away. Love her!

  10. Well it’s about time a beautiful spiritual girl wrote a book that covers cults in the 70’s and being raw and honest about her life. She pulls no punches, keeps it raw and keeps her dignity. Remember EST. this chapter is quite the eye opener. For a first time writer she makes this book so insightful. Thanks Tracy for writng it, best of luck

  11. americans & humor?

    ………..thanks but NO THANKS!!

  12. One would assume that the men mentioned were more than mere friends, since she posed nearly nude in this pic (saying this after reading Jasper’s Goat). I have not read the book either, but would read excerpts from it.

  13. I love reading about other people’s trashy lives. I can’t take any more the sky is falling economic news. It’s depressing!

  14. This is such a fun book, I read it one night cause it feels like she is my girlfriend that I can relate to. It’s amazing and not vulgar. Just a great read that you wish never ended. Can’t wait to see her next book! go Tracy! Thanks for giving us a tremendous read. Wish you all the best.It should be made into a TV show. I loved all the characters you describe them so well. Someone please make this a well written show!

  15. This book is amazing and so is Tracy. She is one of my dearest friends and we’ve lead very similar lives. She tells it like it was. A raw and honest truth without ever losing her dignity and grace. This is not a “tell all” at all. It is a “tell it as it really was”. Until you know her and/or have read this book I suggest to anyone who assumes any negative thoughts be very sage in voicing them. Then buy the book and read it. You’ll love it. I guarantee it.

  16. LOL all the posts except 2 are written within 2 days of each other. Must have been the people who got free copies.

  17. WOW. I finally read this book and knew all the people in it. It was better than I expected and I could not put it down. It gave me a lot of insight into a females perspective of being in that life and Tracy turned her back on it by age 29. Great, great story, life message, and well written. Since I’m in the business I am planning to make this into something more. Really enjoyed it.
