Considering that most people today dress way DOWN when they fly, and baggy sweats, baseball caps, and flip flops are the norm, we have to applaud Dita Von Teese for traveling in style. She’s at the airport and immaculately attired as if she were catching a Pan Am flight in the 1960’s. Looking like this opens the door for some interesting experiences.

Every year, Madonna likes to sign up the current “it girl” as the face of her Material Girl fashion collection featured in Macy’s. The first one was Taylor Momsen with the eyeliner, followed by Kelly Osbourne with the lavender hair, and Georgia May Jagger with the lips. This year Lourdes suggested British singer Rita Ora (Yes, the one who blithely broke Rob Kardashian’s heart and caused him to gain all that weight!) It’s a good deal for Rita – she’s earning $500,000 and her billboards will be all over the USA, where she needs more exposure. Poor Rob.

Kanye West’s onstage tirade at Roseland Ballroom in New York revealed the serious problem he has with Kim Kardashian’s lifestyle and the fact that he wants no part of it. He raved and cursed to the audience that he HATES being chased by paparazzi and considers himself a serious musician – not just a “celebrity.” (“They chase me down and ask dumbass questions!”) The grammatically challenged singer went on to whine that a photographer almost made him crash his car (“I am still shaking – he put me in such danger!”) and make his life miserable. Since all his misery seems to stem from his relationship with publicity loving Kim, it doesn’t bode well for their future.

Yes, David Beckham is officially retiring from soccer, and while we never saw him play, we did grow to love his style. The Sun put together a collection of David’s best hairstyles, and you have to give him credit for having more courage than most athletes. Sweet memories!

We’ve been thinking about that rumor that Justin Bieber is interested in doing a remake of Saturday Night Fever. He’s been itching to break into movies and knows what that film did for John Travolta’s career. But we have a feeling that Justin isn’t interested in revisiting the seventies with polyester suits and Bee Gees disco music. He MIGHT make a fool of himself attempting that. It makes more sense to do an updated version with his own music and his character will probably have a posse of young rappers instead of Brooklyn Italians. We’re pretty sure the young rappers will closely resemble those moochers who live in Justin’s house and crack up his cars in real life. Just wait and see…

It’s the opening night of the Cannes Film Festival and celebrities in exquisite gowns had to dodge a few raindrops. But rain wasn’t Julianne Moore’s biggest problem- her tootsies were squealing for mercy in those ill fitting strappy high heels. We had to laugh at the close-up of her feet in this photo from The Daily Mail.

This we can believe. Kris Jenner’s talk show is set to debut in July and she’s having a terrible time booking guests! She considers herself to be a well connected Hollywood insider and was completely astonished when every A-list celebrity she invited to appear either refused or simply ignored her request! She’s not as popular as she thought she was. According to Star magazine she turned to her business partner Ryan Seacrest to use HIS influence to book celebrities, but so far he isn’t having much luck either. Maybe Kanye West will help her out.

Pregnant Halle Berry looks comfortable and pretty in her loose flowing summer dress – Kim Kardashian should take a tip from her. It’s a big day for little Nahla,5, – Halle took her shopping to buy her first school uniform at Dennis, the Los Angeles uniform company.

The obvious next step in Angelina Jolie’s preventive surgical treatment is removal of her ovaries, and there may be a reason she hasn’t rushed to have it done. It’s likely that she and Brad are contemplating having ONE MORE baby while it’s still possible. Angelina and Brad talked about adding to their family before she had her mastectomy, and if they decide to try one more time, it will probably be sooner rather than later.

Nope, it’s not Katie Holmes with a new boyfriend, (wouldn’t that be nice?) but she DOES have a new movie. Katie’s filming a Spike Lee production “Mania Days” in Yonkers, and Canadian actor Luke Kirby plays her boyfriend (above.) The story is about two manic depressives who meet in a hospital and begin a romance that brings out all the ups and downs of their condition.
