FERLIN HUSKY IS “GONE” – THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES
How we managed to overlook the death of Ferlin Husky on March 17, we’ll never know. But we have no intention of letting this pass without comment. Ferlin was one of those sexy rockabilly guys from the fifties who actually toured with Elvis as his opening act. He’s best known for “Wings of a Dove” but our favorite song of his was the melodramatic “Gone.” What a voice. The ultimate jukebox song for slow dancing. (Above, that’s Ferlin to the left of Elvis)

I had read several days ago that he had passed. Thank you for reminding those that might have missed the glum news. It makes me lonesome to hear his music and so very sad that his time has passed. What an incredible voice and entertainer. Blessings to him and his family.

I could hear his voice immediately in my head when you wrote “Wings of a Dove”. Funny how things like that stick with you. Beautiful song, beautiful voice. Too bad elvis overshadowed him. I guess there just wasn’t room for everybody to be tops, huh? Sounds like today, we have the same problem with too many acts crowding each other out for top. NOW they resort to extremes to keep the attention, instead of using a great voice alone. Gaga anyone? Not me!

The other two people in the picture were actually bigger stars in country music than Ferlin….certainly not to the level of Elvis but were also famous before Elvis and helped him get his start.

No stories of him cheating, stealing, drinking, farting, pissing, and shiiting on himself?
By Casonia...Hells kitchen Paul is nice and can really cook and so can Will but Tommy needs to speak up in order to Win and Elisa is going to drive those men crazy with her company...She is mean and disliked and hope and pray she is next on the chopping bloc

He was Lucky and Blessed in so many ways and it is rather sad that his story was not made to a movie and it would be nice to see his point of view…With The King. He did what he needed to do and he had a full life and he got to spend time with Elvis!
By Casonia...Who is going to Win Hells Kitchen? Hope it is not Elisa and hope Paul really rocks it out and Jennifer was not his type from the start and when a man is flirting with other woman his desire was never there to start off with! Tommy speak up dear!

HIS STORY SHOULD BE TOLD TO THE WORLD DOWN THE ROAD AND HOPE HIS FAMILY WILL DO THAT AND SHARE A PART OF THE KING WITH US ALL.

Sometimes people are pushed aside and other people get to move them over and push them aside to the side lines of being something big and some time other people outshine the other and at times other people fail to catch the hearts and soul of other people but he did what he did and he did the best he could and that is all a person can do is give it all you got but there are times when public is not ready for you and something does not catch there heart at that time but in life Shit Happends and there is nothing we can do and when you die and kick the bucket…Your soul and spirit is still here and others can learn from you spot light at being burned.
