It’s no secret that we are not big fans of Dr Phil, but we like to see a TV show do something socially responsible. The Rebecca Zahau “suicide” case has had Californians outraged. If you recall, Rebecca’s wealthy boyfriend’s six year old son was killed in an accidental fall down the stairs while Rebecca was his caretaker. (He probably slid down the banister and fell on his head.) The multi-millionaire boyfriend, Jonah Shaknai, is a pharmaceuticals mogul. Days later Rebecca’ body was found hanging naked with a T shirt around her neck dangling from a balcony of the mansion. Her wrists and ankles were bound. The body was found by her boyfriend’s brother. Investigators ruled the death a suicide (!!!) but her family suspects murder. So do we. Dr Phil is apparently paying to have the body exhumed and retested for signs of foul play. We’re glad SOMEBODY is looking into this crime.

This is one of those seemingly obvious Jessica Fletcher freshman mysteries. Based solely on the infomation that was leaked to the public or made public, it looks like fowl play.
This should help him in the ratings dept. and hopefully officially and satisfactory solve the case.
I can’t help but wonder if creepy Dr. Phil doesn’t have some lurid skeletons hidden in his own closet?
I always thought the boyfriend killed her.
I still think the boyfriend did it too. It seems like it should be an easy case but you never can tell. I think the boyfriend hired someone to kill her if he didn’t do it himself.
The slant eye was certainly a golddigger and many reports point to her as the reason the child was killed and maybe she was paying the price. Unfortunate 2 people died here
Who knows what happened, but I know one thing, this is going to get very interesting, very quickly. Especially if Old Phil is going to bring attention to the case.
It seemed fairly obvious to me that the boyfriend did it as well. Money can buy a lot of things, including a not guilty verdict. Just look at OJ Simpson or that Baretta guy(his name escapes me) for the best examples.
I’m thinking that this case will probably be a movie of the week someday soon.
Suicide my ass. The police department out there must be like the Keystone Cops if they think this woman somehow managed to hang herself after tying her hands and feet together. Or maybe she hung herself and then tied her hands and feet together?
If she were family to me I would be absolutely furious. Actually, if you’re human this should make you angry.
It is outrageous that the cops ruled it a suicide. And, they ruled it a suicide very quickly, so fast that it was over quicker than a “48 Hours” episode.
Am I the only person who is suspicious of the boy’s mother who was the last person to text the deceased girlfriend saying she needed to see her?

I can’t stand that pompous ass “Dr” Phil. I feel 100% certain that this poor young woman did not commit suicide. It’s unheard of for a woman to put her naked body on display like that in suicide. Very few women would hang themselves either.

I don’t know any facts of this case other than what this website just repeated. Based on those facts, how could she possibly have killed herself? I would love to have an investigative reporter or writer really dig into this case and write about it.

Dr. Phil is no Sherlock Holmes. Maybe the case needs further investigation but it is most likely the story of a young girl who was very ready to trade her body for fame and $$$ and ended up dead.
