FOR ADAM LAMBERT, IT’S HIT AND MISS ON GRINDR

Some of you out there might not have heard of Grindr – it’s an application for iPads and iPhones using GPS that allows men seeking men to connect based on LOCATION. That means if a guy in Sarasota, Florida, wants to hook up with another guy on a Thursday night, he can peruse at a selection of photos of available men in his immediate vicinity, and if he finds one he likes, contact him right away. Adam Lambert loves to use Grindr to find company when he’s on the road, which is pretty often. Of course when you’re a celebrity, it’s a bit more complicated. Adam conceals his identity until the last minute. When he finally admits who he is, some guys get way too impressed, while others just don’t believe him and think he’s a crackpot!

  1. I’m aware that for some people, hooking up with strangers for sex is the biggest turn on. Not something I’m interested in, would do, or recommend.

  2. Long before Adam Lambert became famous, rock stars of all sexual persuasions screwed their way across America and Europe so Lambert is not unique in that regard. But he might want to take a cue from professional athletes and just pay high-class escorts to come to his hotel rooms. Of course, the romantic side of me thinks he would be better off with a monogamous relationship, out in the open even.

  3. Russian roulette with out a gun! It’s fine if you just want to meet people and hang out but if your looking for more than that it can lead to all kinds of trouble, not just the sex part but the blackmail kind of shit.

  4. This is what I hate about gay men!! They are so horny!!

Is Mr Lambert really so horny he can’t find one man to be content and satisfied with? This is so wrong gay or straight!!

  5. “FOR ADAM LAMBERT, IT’S HIT AND MISS ON GRINDR”

    Nah. It’s ALL miss…

  6. Clear addiction to danger and self destruction. Agree with all comments above. Watch him grow old in Sheen-like speed. Drug problems will soon follow.

  7. Give the guy a break! Sheesh! How many people have a life of touring like he does?

  8. This kind of filth is what is bringing down America.

  9. Janet, the fact that you posted this kind of “news” is inflamatory and I’m really really surprised at you for doing so. I consider it close to “outing’ someone. What anyone does in their PRIVATE sexual life, self destructive as it may be, is their own business, and I’m SURE any OTHER man using this same “App” is of the same self-destructive or unaware ilk.

Lambert and his on stage raunchiness reminds me of George Micheals and HIS fall of public toilet sex and arrests and loss of face with his public.

I too, would hope these young guys could find “love” much as I would hope it for everybody, but some people are so driven by adrenaline and “danger” that they indeed do put their lives on the line in more ways than one. Witness Charlie Sheen for example. Some things that draw some people are next to impossible to escape. Some don’t.

  10. Reta it’s ‘Geeorge Michael’ in the siingular. Maybee you were thinking of the degenerate Brett Michaels.

Also how could thisbe ‘outing’ when Mr. Lambert is already welll known as a flamboyant homosexual?

  11. This very app made the news in Vancouver last year in a bad way.
A younger inexperienced guy was cruised by a pyscho on the app. The kid met the animal at an unsafe location and was murdered.
A public warning regarding this very app was subsequently issued by the V.P.D.

  12. Pardon me Muffin? As if straight young men aren’t horny? Ever attend a college campus party? When’s the last time you were in a club? Any idea what the date rape statistics are and who’s responsible? Men are playing the field longer before getting married with 28 being the average age now. Those who consent to marry at all is steadily declining, while half of those who do marry eventually divorce. Cheating among married couples is sharply on the rise. I could go on, and on, and on. At least have the guts to express your contempt honestly. In that department, uncle bill etc are light years ahead of you.

  13. All human beings should vigorously condemn this type of filthy activity. Does no one realize germs/bacteria/viruses can mutate and morph into something horribly incurable. The world has gone mad, already all kinds of sex diseases are on the rise. We may soon be like Uganda and parts of Africa, 3rd world and drowning in slow horrible deaths.

  14. I really feel sorry for young people nowadays who just want to date a nice person and have good clean fun. Are there any of these left? There are very few morals, and be sure a sinful past (such as the Grindr filth) will come roaring back to haunt you.

  15. Muffin, I apologize for my last sentence. I have gay friends, and your attempt to paint all gays with a broad sleeze brush as if it’s primarily a problem concerning only them is pure fiction.

  16. Rick, I was not trying to paint all gay men “with a broad sleeze brush”. In my experience, men are more aggressive when it comes to sex. I am quite sure there are many gay men in committed, long-term relationship’s(obviously not yourself)and that’s all good. Are you really seriously defending this issue of sex with stranger’s?

I don’t care if you are gay or straight, meeting stranger’s for casual sex is like playing with a loaded gun…someone’s GONNA get hurt.

Horny Men/Women/Gay/Straight/Bi/Transgender + Sex w Strangers = Ticking Time Bomb!!!

Hey Rick, if you wanna play with gun’s, go for it!!

PS. For the record, I have no contempt for anyone, gay or straight.

  17. Pardon me again. Read my first comment at the top of this column: “I’m aware that for some people, hooking up with strangers for sex is the biggest turn on. Not something I’m interested in, would do, or recommend.

And then read yours: “This is what I hate about gay men!! They are so horny!!”

    (cue the broad sleaze brush)

I never indicated that I defend promiscuous behavior, or that long-term monogamous relationships (obviously?) aren’t for me. I don’t know what you’re talking about, and clearly neither do you. What-eva.

  18. “Rick” the phrase “This is what I hate about gay men!! They are so horny!!” was just that, a phrase. It was not meant in the literal way that you are trying to make it out to be. If you are offended by that statement then I am sorry.

I “hate” things about my Mother, Sister, Husband, Friends etc. I don’t “Hate” them. I hate some things about them!!

Geez, quit trying to make issues out of things that are not there.

  19. This fag and the others like him are causing the AIDS epidemic we have. Wasn’t it Clay Aiken who was also caught out while seeking out cock on the road?

Send them all to Gay Island and start a reality show as they slowly dies off from AIDS….there could be a thermometer type indicator showing how many were left!

  20. Watch the decadence take over his face and body. Moral decay shows just as graphically as physical decay, and leaves a stench as deep as the real thing on his life.

  21. Actually Mary-Claire, he’s combating a bad case of acne, seriously.

  22. Apparently the whole world is out there going sex mad right now if I hear all of you correctly. Sounds like the usual doom and gloom predictions of our dear Indy. Hellfire and damnation! Don’t take yore dick out anywhere young man, it’ll likely explode instantly from all the filth rotating in the air just waiting for a ripe new one to rot it away.

Yes, yes, yes, there are terrible terrible things in the world. I wouldn’t want to add being gay to my life for anything, but those who are, just ARE. Hopefully they will learn from the things that have happened to others such as the horrible example above, which I would think would be enough to take down or kill the app alone. One death is enough, isn’t it?

gemma: funny how you go after me for a typo on George Michael’s name, but you have numerous typo’s in YOUR post as well. Perfect, are you?

  23. Sorry, no way is this even remotely true. Adam is a really wonderful person inside and out and this is not his style at all. Oh and by the way, he has a steady boyfriend. This is pure garbage. He has a real voice, no auto-tune needed whatsoever… he is well on his way to becoming the next big star. He sold out his tour this summer while other’s like Christina Aguilera had to cancel some of her shows because they just were not selling. This man is a once in a generation talent.
