FRAN DRESCHER’S GAY HUSBAND MADE HER A STAR

Back in the 90’s, Fran Drescher introduced us to her smart and delightful husband, writer Peter Marc Jacobson, and we wondered if she was the only one who didn’t know he was gay. They divorced in 1999 and Fran says that’s when he came out to her. They met in high school and were married for 21 years before Peter revealed his secret. Fran is now openly discussing the relationship and says they are still the best of friends and confidants. (They created “The Nanny” together) We happen to think having a clever gay husband sounds like a very modern and fun relationship – as long as he has good health insurance. EVERYBODY needs that.

  1. ” We happen to think having a clever gay husband sounds like a very modern and fun relationship…”

Man, WHAT HAS THE WORLD COME TO?

  2. I don’t believe she didn’t know..
Married for 21 years and no sex?

    Not buying it..she knew

  3. I agree, she knew. What the heck is fun about it? I have girlfriends to have fun with, my husband is a whole nother thing …

  4. Bi, or gay? There IS a difference! If he was with her THAT long, I would think he must have been Bi, otherwise how could he have sex with her as I’m sure he MUST have been doing over the course of a 21 year marraige. If she actually went 21 years with him without a healthy sex life, then there is something drastically wrong with HER for living like that. Why EITHER of them would begin a relationship like that, lett alone perpetrate it for 21 years, and prevent each other from acheiving REAL and complete happiness with a true mate is not really being “best friends” now, is it? What kind of friend traps you into a false relationship for 21 years?!

  5. Fran and Jacobson had their home broken into…he was tied up and had to watch her get raped. That either ties people together for life or drives them apart…unless you’re married to a gay…

  6. I love Fran! I miss her show. It’s nice to see two people who really love each other despite their divorce. Gay or Bi, whatever, I don’t think that’s a factor in their relationship. They seem to have tons of respect and loyalty for each other. It’s pretty refreshing to read about.

  7. This is story is as old as HELL. God!

Btw, what is the strange sentence about health insurance? Yes, it’s great when someone can have that in this f**ked up country. But why bring that up in reference to him? Strange. Is this some kind of oblique AIDS reference?

News Flash: Aids isn’t a gay disease and it doesn’t discriminate.

  8. Good God Reta, obviously she’s a lesbian otherwise why would she marry a gay man? Sarah Jessica Parker is in the same boat HINT HINT. A gay husband isn’t going to sleep with you so either you yourself are gay or just plain frigid and don’t care about sex.

  9. pffff, just in time:
……HE SUFFERS FROM AIDS NOW, folks.

  10. Is Fran going to SURPRISE!! “out” herself any time soon?

  11. Richard is spot on. These two were traumatized together and will forever be tied. To survive and thrive after that I say KUDOS to both of them no matter the state of their marriage or sexual preferences.

  12. All women WOULD probably love a good gay husband. Aren’t all the male characters in SATC really gay – come one, no straight man would behave the way those guys do, not even the New Man/Metrosexual types. Seems that – in the English-speaking developed world – women are all turning into mutant versions of male-hating, gynocentric, feminists (but without the intellectual depth and integrity). Why don’t they forget the gay boyfriend/husband and just go lesbian. Cut out the transitional middle-man. Maybe if they had to deal with eachother on that level, they would realize what nightmares they are.

  13. I really don’t know what to make of this strange marriage. Maybe she just drove him crazy with that high-pitched nasal voice of hers.

  14. Sharon Falconer: 1/3 of homosexual men have HIV/AIDS. The same cannot be said of heterosexual men and women or lesbian women. Nowhere near 1/3. Althoughth not exclusively a “gay disease,” rampant bareback promiscuity has made HIV/AIDS an epidemic to homosexual men. Homosexual men: Please use protection!!!
