GLORIA ALLRED: SHAME ON YOU!

We usually LOVE Gloria Allred but we are very upset by the bogus lawsuit she may file against Borat. (The etiquette lady he fooled in the movie is angry.) Gloria – WHAT HAPPENED to your sense of humor? We fear that Gloria and her legal compatriots can’t take a joke. And THAT is truly a crime. We wonder if Gloria could possibly have sat through Borat without laughing her head off. So WHAT if Sacha Baron Cohen poked fun at a few people – since when is that against the law? We were thrilled by Cohen’s lack of political correctness – especially since he skewered everyone equally. We should all laugh at ourselves, not sue each other. Has Gloria forgotten how to have a good time? This mounting pile of tacky lawsuits by the people Borat fooled is an embarrassment to all Americans WITH a sense of humor.

  1. Not everyone thinks the movie is that funny. I saw a free screening and thought it was stupid and vulgar. I feel sorry for the people that obviously got tricked into being in it and made worldwide fools of.I say go get’m Gloria. Rip their balls off and give them to the plaintiff in a little baggie. Now that would be funny.

  2. Gloria! GO FOR IT!!! THAT EXCUSE OF A MOVIE IS TRASH. THE PEOPLE WERE DUPED AND EDITED TO LOOK LIKE FOOLS. THE FILM DOES NOTHING EXCEPT PROMOTE HATRED AND UGLINESS IN AN ALREADY RACIALLY DIVIDED COUNTRY. HATED THE FILM. HATE BORAT AND GLORIA SHOULD ABSOLUTELY GET THESE VICTIMS THEIR JUST DUE MONIES!!!!!!!

  3. I love Gloria. She’s a beautiful ball busting bitch. If anything we need to clone her, get her DNA, she’s awesome. Anyone who thinks different is a stupid hillbilly.

  4. If Janet was duped and made to look like a fool (even though we know she is a fool) like the others and was specifically told the footage was NOT to be aired here in the US, you can bet that Janet would have called GLoria and would have sued.

  5. That movie was hilarious! I don’t really care about the lawsuits and how they come out. I’m thrilled that we have something unique and funny to watch. Beats those unimaginative “films” that get cranked out with no thought. I use the word film loosley.
I notice that it’s generally the uptight people that don’t like this movie. It’s not meant to be serious. Sacha Baron Cohen is a devout Jew himself. Lighten’ up people.

  6. If it was YOU being made a fool of you would not appreciate being told to “lighten up.” I honestly do not understand why people find him funny.

  7. These people made fools of themselves by being themselves. Get over it!

  8. These people got paid for their time…If they are pissed, it’s because the movie took off and is doing well and they want more $$$….notice that not everyone is suing him!

  9. Whatever…I for one am very pro-amerian and find it offensive when someone like that idiot Borat mocks our country. Clearly I am in the minority – oh and save your liberal rants…I could care less.

  10. This story is wrong!!! Janet messed up big time again! Gloria is not the woman in the movie…it’s Cindy Streigh from “Ettiquette Training Services”. She doesn’t even look like her.

  11. Borat misrepresented the purpose of his movie, claiming it would not be shown in America, but only in Kazahkstan.
He also misrepresented himself as a journalist when he was actually setting people up to look foolish and then editing the footage to make them look even worse.
The plaintiffs have a case, aka fraud in the inducement. Let the courts or a judge decide who should prevail.

  12. The movie and Cohen are both very funny. But so is FUNNY BY DEFINITION> A book that is very funny, clever and CLEAN> I think all who saw BORAT should get a copy of FUNNY BY DEFINITION(written hy a Robert Myers).

  13. I won’t go see “Borat” because I don’t want to watch other people be humiliated. How is that interesting? The same people who pay to see that crap are the same people listening to Howard Stern and thinking he’s hilarious, and who watched the freaks on the Jerry Springer show. These media outlets appeal to the lowest common denominator of society.

  14. This women was completely deceived!!!!She thought she was teaching an dining etiquette class for a man who pretended to be a Diplomat…She was not aware that this was an R rated movie or that this was all a big Fraud!!!!

  15. Fraud is fraud and where there is fraud, there is no contract. I think these cases are important and hopefully all people suing Borat will win and receive awards that will make this sort of scam either unprofitable or actually a money-losing proposition. It’s too easy for the people with the power of cameras and selective editing to create any sort of ‘truthiness’ they desire. The common person should have the upmost legal protection against that sort of thing and the media people should have strict liability.
The old Candid Camera would be a good model to follow — play a trick on someone, but come clean at the end, and get their full, knowledgable consent afterwards to get it on your show.
The saddest part is that Sasha Cohen used the character to expose bigotry, but in reality he was acting like the biggest anti-semetic cliche out there: that Jews aren’t fair business people and instead trick people into signing fraudulent contracts in order to win-lose exploit them for profit.

  16. The joke only works on the people who are mentally disabled to begin with. He can’t affect the sensibilititties of the intelligent. He’s one cagey comic! If you fall for it, you deserve to be his victim.
Just don’t be a stupid tit, and have some quality yuks from Sasha.
