For years we’ve been complaining about mothers who push their way-too-big kids around in strollers (Kate Hudson, among others) when they should be walking. Then Katie Holmes came along and she CARRIED Suri until she was four feet tall. Fashionable mom Gwen Stefani is hauling her youngest son Apollo around in a baby carrier and it looks like torture on a 100 degree day. He’s a big boy.

She thought, pretty much like any stupid woman, that breeding 3 sprogs will keep her husband “at home”. Epic fail! Welcome to the real world!

And how many children have you had Janet? Whatever works for the child and mother is whatever works. Toddlers are particularly hard as they get tired easily or can get loose of a mother’s hand in a snap. I know a 2-year old child who was killed darting off the curb into traffic when a second before he was holding onto his mom.
For the record, Suri walked on her own except when faced with a ravenous pack of paps. Any child would be frightened and insecure and any parent would want to hold and protect the child faced with a wall of cameras and shouting paps. Obviously as she got older, she could deal with it but it is sad that any child would have to get used to it or worse come to expect it in their lives.
