Gwen Stefani was reportedly mesmerized by her new wax double at Madame Tussaud’s in Las Vegas. She seemed almost freaked out by the lifelike mannikin. At a cost of $300,000, the dummy required 250 measurements and multiple photos and it took six months to put it together. It was made slightly larger to allow for shrinkage in the desert climate. It must have been tough to decide what the wax figure would WEAR because the style has to look good for a long time. Gwen donated the outfit.

Gwen and No Doubt were so behind the times. They were geeks really. I mean Ska in the late eighties? Pu-la-ease!
And Gwen, like Madonna, has built a very successful career recycling stuff America refused to take the first time, processing it, and selling it like hot cakes.
Both Madge and Gwen do it so well, because they actually do believe they are doing something special. Talk about naive.
