Alec Baldwin has been bending over backwards to make up for that angry phone message he left for his daughter Ireland. It looks like he’s turned himself into the perfect good-natured dad. He flew in from New York over Memorial Day weekend to spend time with Ireland,12, (who’s getting tall like her model mother Kim Basinger.) He was seen in Malibu taking Ireland and her girlfriends out for smoothies. And he couldn’t have been sweeter to the photographers, either!

Hey, whaddya know, he’s human just like the rest of us. He has his good days and he has his bad days. I think some people expect celebrities to be something other than ordinary people. The difference is, when I have a temper tantrum, it isn’t shopped around to the media for someone else’s glee.

Alec has been put through years of hell due to that nasty divorce and it’s easy to see how he can lose his temper. It wasn’t fair that he directed it at his daughter; she just happened to be the nearest target at the time. Kim Basinger has been nasty, nasty, nasty for years – enough! They need to learn to work together for the best interests of Ireland.

Both are kind of gawky looking but I think Ireland Baldwin will grow into her looks and become a beauty, you see some beauty in her now.
It is strange that despite her turbulent home life, this young girl always has a smile on her face.
