One place we will NOT be on Tuesday nights is watching BET. They rewarded Michael Vick, a man who tortured and killed dogs for his own amusement, with his own reality show! The first episode aired Feb 2. Just because he served his 23 month sentence doesn’t mean we have forgiven Vick for the unspeakable things he did to those dogs. BET hopes the ten episodes of “The Michael Vick Project, Season 1” will convince us he’s not such a bad guy after all. It’s a disgrace and BET should be ashamed. Hopefully, the ratings will speak for themselves.

He should be locked in a fenced-in area with a bunch of rabid hungry crazed pit bulls. What a dispicable excuse for a human being!! I will not support any channel or product that advertises on this unholy assholes show!!

You can almost see the terror in the poor dog’s eyes. And the smirk on Vick’s face is not helping. I would not trust him around any animals for the rest of his life. If you can do what he did, there is no reform. He didnt learn from his “mistake”. He is the same person now just trying to win back public opinion. He won’t win mine, thats for sure.

Dragonfly, I so agree w/ you. He isn’t sorry for what he did — he’s just sorry that he got caught. This shows me how in the gutter reality shows have become. Whatever happened to reality shows that featured inspirational heroes who we can all root for? 🙂

What an embarrassment to the human race, and a disgrace to African-Americans. A perfect example that the terms “trailer trash” and “ghetto trash” are not race-specific – Vick is trailer trash.

i had to put my beloved pit to sleep oct 9 last year. i have never had/met/been around more loving wonderful dogs than pit bulls.
i don’t care what vick has said about his rehab/regrets/shame…he’s a big f-in LIAR.
he needs to be strapped to a treadmill for a week in an overheated room, then thrown in some water and electrocuted while he is drowning, no, wait, that’s not horrific enough…..SCUM EVIL WORTHLESS PIECE OF Shit.

You practically cry buckets over a drug dealer whose crimes can and will effect many people including children. Michael Vick’s crime is being paid for, he served his time and whether his penance is genuine or not is between he and his Maker. Both of these men had money and opportunity and flushed down the toilet with their heinous actions. I don’t like what either of them did and yes the punishment should fit the crime. Both crimes have victims we could never mistake them for being victimless. As for the show on BET this is called “show BUSINESS” money talks and you know what walks.

Michael Vick is a scary violent SOB, and I will make sure BET is not in my channel lineup. Am officially rooting against any team he is on.

I can’t believe how greedy some people are that they will help an animal torturer publicly laugh about what he has done. Someone who can do the things he’s done, usually will graduate to or has graduated to people. Watch out. You don’t want to be near anyone like that.

Michael Vick can be compared to Toyota. Neither one can ever really be “fixed” to the satisfaction of the average person. Their names will be forever tainted.

Lil Off Broadway said it all: No one would or should ever trust Michael or Toyota again.

Disgusting move on BET’s part. Vick is not sorry for what he did. He’s just sorry he was caught and convicted. And to give this animal abuser and killer his own show and soapbox is beyond belief.

I urge everyone to go to the BET web site and click on “contact” at the bottom. You can then choose to comment on particular shows. Let them know what you think about this attempt to profit off of the killings of defenseless animals.

Vick should also not have been allowed back into the NFL.

Shame on BET and the NFL for putting $$$$ concerns ahead of the welfare of animals.

I will not defend what Michael Vick did;it was WRONG; however, when someone asked to be forgiven I will. I will NOT sit in judgment of others. Who are we NOT to forgive? People we should not blame him for the rest of his life. He want to make amends, therefore that right should be afforded to him.

Besides, people if you did/do something wrong would you want to be forgiven? Think about that the next time you want to write or say things about Michael Vick or anyone else for that matter.

I just want one of his abused dogs that recovered to rip his dick and balls off. Forgive him? Has he truly repented?

Uh Yeeeeahhh Princess. You can “forgive” someone BUT YOU DO GO REWARDING THEM WITH A DAMN TV SHOW! You probably think OJ deserves a tv show too. Forgiving is for MiSTAKES like he stole a ipod at a store – levels of wrongness to be taken into consideration- but this so-called “role model” tortured, maimed, electrocuted, beat, drowned innocent beings – not just once but many many times. He can be “sorry” all he wants but there needs to be a loud and clear message that if you participate in horrendous acts of violence like that- especially on inncoents – you are damn lucky to even get a job let alone a TV show. A TV show only glosses over and glorifys what he did. He SHOULD live in shame for the rest of his life. I have no sympathy for him and do not even THINK he is one bit “sorry”. He is only “sorry” he got caught. Let’s see him do those things to your beloved family pet and see how much you “feel sorry” for him afterwards. He is famous and that puts him even at a higher punishment standard as far as I am concerned. He had Everything and yet he CHOSE this evil lifestyle. He can “repent” off camera and disappear from the public eye as far as I am concerned. Let’s give TV shows to role models. Not THUGS.

Yeah if those dogs had been human beings he would have served life in prison. He is just LUCKY he is out so SOON. let’s stop rewarding bad behavior. He served his time but there is no need to give him accolades with a new self-titled TV show. He gave up that right when he tortured dogs.

That photo is chilling. He was probably on his way to electrocute that dog when someone shot it.

Princess – I never inflicted pain or tortured animals so I don’t feel I need to be “forgiven” because anything I have ever done does not REMOTELY compare with his actions. Sorry but there is “forgiveness” and then there is “gullabilty”. I sure as hell would never let him baby sit my dog!

Princess I have no problem judging an adult male who inflicted pain on animals for money and kicks. He can best serve our community by helping to stop this stupid “sport” and do community service. Not some PR ploy to try and get gullible people like you to feel sorry for him. That is all this tv show is – a PR ploy to win the public over so he can make his money back. Disgusting.

I can’t even think of anything horrific enough that this piece of trash should be put through to give those poor animals justice. I have never and WILL NEVER watch nor support that disgusting tv station. How pathetic of them to reward this killer a show. Poor innocent animals who didn’t stand a chance against this killer. It’s heartbreaking.

Only God can judge someone, are you perfect. Give me a break, I am a dog lover, always had a dog or two in my home, but I can forgive someone who made a mistake. Janet can cry for Cameron Douglas, who is a drug dealer, destroying people, not dogs, lives but she want to boycott Michael Vick. Maybe because Cameron is white and Michael is Black. How many people died from taking drugs or hurt or abuse their children because of their drug use.

The man has paid his dues and lost his fortune. He will never return to his glory days and is now trying to make amends. He has a family to support and is doing the best he can. If you all don’t want to watch the show then don’t. I for one will forgive him and watch the show. Everyone deserves a second chance.

Cameron deserves to be locked up. Race has absolutely nothing to do with it. ANY person of any race doing what he did deserves the same outcry. It is NOT a “mistake”. Please. Quit making excuses for this looser. He was a self important brute who felt entitled to harm dogs. If he had done those things to YOU personally I am certain you would hardly call his behavior a “mistake”. Give me a break.

It is obvious he is doing it to make money. If he wanted to show people he is a good guy, he would have his butt in an animal shelter each weekend cleaning out cages and walking the dogs who actually live in cages 24/7. He is a greedy man. And this only makes me think worse of him.

If it was pit bulls he was torturing and killing I don’t really care because they are ugly and nasty. The whole breed should be wiped out, of course that’s impossible. People who get them as pets have issues. With their masculinity or self image, but they are not loving creatures as has been proven time and againg. Put them down!

One of America’s Sweethearts is battling a serious drug addiction- not hers, but her best friend’s. Through the years these two have been stuck to one another like white on rice and her fame rubbed off on her pal. They’ve been roomies, have worked together on set, and even launched a business venture together. But all that success has come with a price. After years of being sober, the less famous friend has fallen HARD off the wagon and our gal doesn’t know what to do. She’s hosted an intervention, hired an addiction specialist, and even threatened to end the friendship, but nothing seems to work. What’s a girl to do?
