One place we will NOT be on Tuesday nights is watching BET. They rewarded Michael Vick, a man who tortured and killed dogs for his own amusement, with his own reality show! The first episode aired Feb 2. Just because he served his 23 month sentence doesn’t mean we have forgiven Vick for the unspeakable things he did to those dogs. BET hopes the ten episodes of “The Michael Vick Project, Season 1” will convince us he’s not such a bad guy after all. It’s a disgrace and BET should be ashamed. Hopefully, the ratings will speak for themselves.

You can almost see the terror in the poor dog’s eyes. And the smirk on Vick’s face is not helping. I would not trust him around any animals for the rest of his life. If you can do what he did, there is no reform. He didnt learn from his “mistake”. He is the same person now just trying to win back public opinion. He won’t win mine, thats for sure.

i had to put my beloved pit to sleep oct 9 last year. i have never had/met/been around more loving wonderful dogs than pit bulls.

You practically cry buckets over a drug dealer whose crimes can and will effect many people including children. Michael Vick’s crime is being paid for, he served his time and whether his penance is genuine or not is between he and his Maker. Both of these men had money and opportunity and flushed down the toilet with their heinous actions. I don’t like what either of them did and yes the punishment should fit the crime. Both crimes have victims we could never mistake them for being victimless. As for the show on BET this is called “show BUSINESS” money talks and you know what walks.

Michael Vick can be compared to Toyota. Neither one can ever really be “fixed” to the satisfaction of the average person. Their names will be forever tainted.

Vick should also not have been allowed back into the NFL.
Shame on BET and the NFL for putting $$$$ concerns ahead of the welfare of animals.

I will not defend what Michael Vick did;it was WRONG; however, when someone asked to be forgiven I will. I will NOT sit in judgment of others. Who are we NOT to forgive? People we should not blame him for the rest of his life. He want to make amends, therefore that right should be afforded to him.
Besides, people if you did/do something wrong would you want to be forgiven? Think about that the next time you want to write or say things about Michael Vick or anyone else for that matter.

Princess I have no problem judging an adult male who inflicted pain on animals for money and kicks. He can best serve our community by helping to stop this stupid “sport” and do community service. I can’t even think of anything horrific enough that this piece of trash should be put through to give those poor animals justice. Only God can judge someone, are you perfect. Give me a break, I am a dog lover, always had a dog or two in my home, but I can forgive someone who made a mistake. Janet can cry for Cameron Douglas, who is a drug dealer, destroying people, not dogs, lives but she want to boycott Michael Vick. Maybe because Cameron is white and Michael is Black. How many people died from taking drugs or hurt or abuse their children because of their drug use.
The man has paid his dues and lost his fortune. He will never return to his glory days and is now trying to make amends. He has a family to support and is doing the best he can. If you all don’t want to watch the show then don’t. I for one will forgive him and watch the show. Everyone deserves a second chance.

It is obvious he is doing it to make money. If he wanted to show people he is a good guy, he would have his butt in an animal shelter each weekend cleaning out cages and walking the dogs who actually live in cages 24/7. He is a greedy man. And this only makes me think worse of him.
If it was pit bulls he was torturing and killing I don’t really care because they are ugly and nasty. The whole breed should be wiped out, of course that’s impossible. People who get them as pets have issues. With their masculinity or self image, but they are not loving creatures as has been proven time and againg. Put them down!
