1. $cientology is a cult. It is only a “church” for the purposes of being tax exempt. The cult uses a multitude of fake groups to hide that they are fronts for $cientology with the goal of gaining new recruits, or as the cult calls it, “fresh meat”.

   The cult of $cientology ruins lives, destroys families, uses its members to make money no matter what and leaves their victims peniless and brainwashed and scarred to the point of nervous breakdown. for every picture you may see of their handful of celebrity members trying to make the cult look glamorous and appealing, are about one hundred people who live in squalor and poverty, working up to 18 hours a day, with wages that would befit slaves.
   it is good that the truth about the cult is getting out, and that Hawaii protected its people by informing them about $cientology. it was also good that mayor bloomberg banned their moneysucking fundraiser that was for their own benefit= $

4. Just a little inaccuracy in the article: NarCONon is the $cientology “drug rehab” program. NarCANon is the twelve-step program based on the principles of Alcoholics Anonymous and has no connection to $cientology.
   $cientology obviously uses the NarCONon name to confuse the public. Ironically, most people who know about NarCONon consider the program to be a CON.

6. scientologists are crazy, their founder was a science fiction writer and not a very succesful one at that. he is famous for this quote: Million Dollar Idea
   “Writing for a penny a word is ridiculous, If a man really wanted to make a million dollars, the best way to do it would be to start his own religion.”
   this famous quote blatantly states their desire to just extract money from idiots. someone can be bright but as soon as they say they are a scientologist it ruins them in my eyes the founder of earthlink/helio sky dayton is a scientologist. CRAZY

There are too many cults to list here but, I the whole point is that the members of one cult calling the members of another cult members of a cult is, at best, funny and at worst, just sad. They are all just tax dodges for the shifty and refuges from reality for the credulous.

12. Alex, you’re an idiot if you don’t know what a cult is. When a Catholic becomes disillusioned and leaves the church, does the priest have him stalked? Do former Protestants have to be careful when ‘denouncing’ their former church as a fraud? Are they verbally abused & blackmailed by their former ‘ministers’? When you become a Muslim, are you supposed to cut off contact with your non-believing relatives?
    Once in Scientology, you are expected to STAY in Scientology – OR ELSE. They make you ‘confess’ all your ‘sins'(aka ‘auditing’) right from the beginning – AND IT’S ALL WRITTEN DOWN IN YOUR OWN HANDWRITING, OF COURSE. I don’t know of any priest who hears all your confessions and then when you want to leave and go become a Moonie, harasses you and labels you as an ‘enemy’ – meanwhile has everything you ever confessed to written down somewhere. VERY strange.
    Also everyone DO NOT USE EARTHLINK! There is no reason to trust these people and we have every reason NOT to.

13. I don’t understand why, if scientology is a real religion, do they not have proper missionaries. I’d be really suspicious if my main “preacher” was Tom Cruise. That is very sad.

14. I left a job because of Narconon. I found out it was through Scientology and I got out! We used to be a faithbased ministry… how sad. They left God out of the whole thing and its A MESS
