HBO CANCELED “LUCK” BECAUSE OF THE RATINGS, NOT THE DEAD HORSES

HBO and Luck producers make themselves look like HEROES with incredible respect for animals by canceling the series after a third horse’s accidental death. But is that really the reason they shut the show down? Luck suffered disappointing ratings from its debut and never really caught on as HBO hoped it would. They hastily renewed the show anyway, and began filming the 2nd season quickly while the racetrack location was available. We think they were already feeling regrets when the third horse was injured and had to be euthanized and the negative publicity started spreading, further jeopardizing viewership. They had a meeting and decided the timing was perfect to cut their losses on the ailing show and look like heroes, not failures.

  1. Watched a few episodes of this show. Tried really hard to like it. However, there was not one character that I felt empathy for, disliked them all. Even Jill Hennessey, whom I adore, made we angry at her character. I’m sorry for it’s demise for the sake of the crew who I’m sure worked very hard. Dustin Hoffman is still a great actor!!

  2. Oh no! We could use that show now considering the horse race tracks are losing their slot machines in some places!
However, it’s a sport that can be cruel

  3. dead horses?
well, IT’S PART OF THE GAME IN CALIFORNIA, folks!!

  4. It’s disgusting that they killed 3 beautiful animals for that stupid show. If people only knew how many horses are killed or abused every year in horse racing, they’d never have anything to do with it. I refuse to even watch the races on TV.

  5. These scumbag corporations, CEO’s, and producers don’t care who they use injure or hurt as long as they make a profit. Three innocent animals dead and for what corporate greed.

Somebody should pump those responsible up with steroids, drugs, beat them and force them to run around a race track without water in sweltering heat until they drop.

Disappointing that Dustin Hoffman would even involve himself with a show that used animals like this. I thought he was more advanced, apparently not.

  6. I couldn’t watch the show because it was about horse racing which definitely can be a cruel sport. Such beautiful animals.

  7. Thank you for some other informative website. Where else could I am getting that kind of info written in such a perfect method? I’ve a project that I am just now operating on, and I’ve been on the glance out for such info.
