  1. Good cause, but yikes — the twins needed a proofreader for this. It’s “horse’s,” NOT “horses.” And it’s “Valentine’s,” NOT “Valentines.”
The level of horrible grammar these days is just astounding. 🙂

  2. Sick chicks. I always give those so-called do gooders the side-eye. I know they’e skimming off the top.

Now Janet…if you delete this post just cause I’m dissing your pet project and you don’t delete the posts of an aggressive racist…it will say much about you as a person and a writer-mainly than animals are more important than civil rights.

  3. Is now a good time to share a recipe for spicy horse kebabs? I can’t eat it anymore because it always gives me the trots!!! lol 🙂

    (wife just flogged me.)

  4. “You can ask us about our cup size or favorite positions but please no personal questions.” ———-Shane Barbi quote

  5. Good for them for trying to save horses. There’s far too much abuse and suffering that these noble animals are forced to endure. Our lawmakers should have passed legislation banning transport for slaughter long ago. Defunding inspection which discontinued the horse slaughter plants here was not enough. Way too many still suffer and die in transport to Canada and Mexico for slaughter for human consumption. Even the Kentucky Derby winner Ferdinand was shipped to Europe and was slaughtered so cruel human beings could have a chance to “eat a champion” as it was advertised! The level of cruelty in the racing industry and horse industry in general is absolutely horrific.

  6. You learn something new every day! I did not know that horse meat is something that humans consumed, (I could maybe understand in some parts of asia where they eat anything and everything) I thought it was just turned into cat food. Not particularly something I would want to eat.

And wow, they carved up a champion horse just to say they ate it!? Just weird.

  7. Walt, thanks for the giggle for the puns. And the quote.

Poor grammar aside, I hope they succeed in their cause.

  8. Why stop at “human consumption”? Isn’t horse meat used in some pet foods? Also, THESE TWO WOMEN need to eat something, not particularly horses of course, but SOMETHING! And lots of it and quick! They are two of the sickest, twisted looking creatures ever photographed! YUCK!

  9. They look like they are for sale to the highest bidder per hour. No difference between horses, cows, pigs…just beasts of burden put here to serve mankind. Nutcase animal people are much worse.

  10. Attention whores and whores in real life, I doubt they care that much about horses at least. They are 2 bad jokes.

  11. Do they have A set up for these horses they want to save?

On another note, saving horses by 2 whores is better news then farleys dead 20 year old son. Yay. Janet!!!

  12. I guess I’m one of Strom’s “Nutcase animal people” because I always support this type of legislation.

And Walt, I hope Mrs. Walt gave you a good flogging. Horsemeat jokes are so not funny.

  13. I thought horsemeat was in our food and dog food (mystery meat in hamburger products) already. What’s the big deal.

  14. Sorry, but no matter how noble, Herbivores evolved to get eaten.

That’s why I love Vegans… when the zombie Apocalypse comes, I will be ready 🙂

  15. It takes A LOT of confidence to be photo’ed standing between the Barbies—Sarah Jessica Parker is to be commended for this. 😀

  16. (And Tia, you are so right about this! If people only knew what they were REALLY ingesting; something to think about next time you’re sucking down a McDonald’s “Milk Shake”—which is actually just artificially sweetened pork fat. 🙁 )

  17. McDonald’s “Milk Shake”—which is actually just artificially sweetened pork fat.

GROSS!!!! Is that true? I saw how they make chicken nuggets (sickening).

  18. Yes, it is. There’s a good reason you don’t find shakes on the menu at Mickey D’s in Dubai—and it’s not because Muslims don’t drink “milk.”

  19. Holy crap! The thought of pork in a drink is disgusting. There is not anything decent to eat there or other chains anymore.

  20. By Kitty, to my knowledge we “Canadians” don’t consume horse meat. At least not where I live. Naaaasty

Mmm, mmm, mmm, McDonald’s milkshake’s are the best!!

  21. Muffie, Kitty is right.
Canadians also eat baby seals and puppy dogs.

  22. Muffie, from what I understand there are slaughter plants in Canada and I’ve heard of people there eating horse meat in restaurants, but it’s not well known-under the table, so to speak. For anybody who is sick enough to want to eat these beautiful intelligent animals, remember the drugs a lot of them are given are not considered safe for human consumption. And for the people who say herbivores evolved to get eaten, just about anything on the planet can be preyed upon and eaten, including humans. As far as I’m concerned, after hundreds of years of faithful service, they deserve much better.

  23. Kitty, you are so right on the last part of your post. I can’t for a moment imagine ANYBODY OR ANYTHING eating one of these noble creatures. If you can watch a horse run thru a field, with it’s tail and mane tossing in the wind, and see the muscles ripple as it romps free, as nature made it to be, and think of EATING it or doing ANYTHING bu letting it be a horse, then you are one evil son of a bitch!

I couldn’t even go see the new movie (I think) “War Horse” by Stephen Speilburg because I can’t bear to see horses in pain and the movie has them going thru war scenes. I could NOT take that!

  24. North American are so bloody hypocritical. Don’t eat horses, ride them don’t eat cats and dogs pet them yet billions of Indians think we are savages for eating their Sacred Cows!!!!!!!

  25. I wouldn’t be a bit surprised if most of us haven’t had horse in our burgers, barbecue, meatloaf…etc. over the years.

I know in the service especially in Korea and Thailand, we would get drunk on leave and get the munchies. We would buy “something” hot from the street venders. It would be served with cooked rice, carrots, and some kind of meat. We would never touch it sober but couldn ‘t resist it drunk and hungry. lol (much like a lot of things). Before we left, one the guys told us that we were eating cooked dog and probably rat too at times.

  26. These two have been over the hill for years. Didn’t even know they were still alive.

  27. Reta, you are right also. I’ve loved and had horses my whole life and there’s nothing else like them. I also can’t go see War Horse because I’m sure I’d be bawling from the beginning to the end!

Mel, we are not hypocritical. There’s a reason we feel that way about horses and our other pets. I also find it a shame to slaughter millions of cattle and pigs every year. We had cattle the whole time I was growing up and they are sweet gentle animals, for the most part. The bulls can be dangerous, though. You just have to be more careful around them. As for pigs, studies show they may be the most intelligent of the barnyard animals, which makes it even more of a shame for how they’re treated. It truly is a shame how animals are treated in the world, especially considering how humans were charged with taking care of the animals.

  28. Man suspected of killing, eating cats

A man in Kern County has been arrested on suspicion of killing and eating cats, according to media reports.

Jason Louis Wilmert, 35, was arrested on suspicion of cruelty to animals and using animals commonly kept as pets as food, according to the Kern County Sheriff’s Department’s inmate search directory. He also was booked on suspicion of unauthorized burning and resisting a peace officer.

Wilmert, who lives in Oildale north of Bakersfield in the Central Valley, was “being prosecuted for using cats as a food source,” the Bakersfield Californian quoted Supervising Deputy Dist. Atty. Michael Yraceburn as saying.

A neighbor told KBAK-TV that she heard the noise of a cat shrieking coming from Wilmert’s home.

“I heard a cat cry really, really loud,” Joe Nuno told the television station. He said he went outside to investigate and looked into Wilmert’s backyard, where he saw “a little burner going” and smelled “awful meat.”
Wilmert was arrested Feb. 3 and is scheduled for a court hearing Friday, according to the Sheriff’s Department website.

  30. STOP WITH THE CANADIAN BASHING!

We hardly eat ANYTHING because all of us are unemployed and broke just LIKE YOU. We are YOUR NEIGHBOURS who hate Asians eating Shark Fin.

We DO NOT EAT HORSE OR DOG OR CAT.

Stop being STUPID. Which is what America is known for. But I do not believe that because I am smarter than that

    Peace!

  31. KayD: AT LAST, someone to stamp out the rumors.

True or False: Canadians are known to eat a lot of beaver.
