HIGH PRICE OF BEAUTY

If you plan to watch Tuesday night’s episode of Smith be sure to check out Ray Liotta’s face. We were told that Ray showed up for the first day of shooting with an alarmingly red, swollen, and peeling face! His looks horrifed coworkers – especially the makeup department we’re sure, and he explained that he had recently gotten some sort of face peel. He didn’t realize it would take SO long to heal. Producers were NOT happy – behind Ray’s back they were overheard snarking “We should just kill him off!” Lighting, closeups, wardrobe etc were adjusted to disguise Ray’s raw mug. Tune in to see if it all worked.

  1. I’m confused. If he showed up like that the first day of shooting it turned out fine. The premiere episode was last week you hack.

  2. The first episode is the pilot and is generally shot far in advance of the following episodes. The network decides which series to order based on pilot episodes. So leave Janet alone…
Regardless of any sort of peels, Ray Liotta looks like he has had a bad face lift. He used to be ruggedly handsome and now he just looks odd.

  3. Well that explains why he looked so awful. The show is only going to work if they put Johnny Lee Miller in the lead. Right now Ray Liotta (who I love) looks like he is playing the anti-David Caruso.

  4. “The premiere episode was last week you hack.”
But it was not filmed last week you fool.

  5. I watched last week and I’ll watch this week. However, I think this story is lame.
The only episode filmed last week is probably episode 5 or close to it.
Dumb story Janet – as usual.

  6. Come on – it’s Hollywierd. Anyone over the age of about 35 has had something done. People don’t realize that and then men expect all 60 year-olds to look like Goldie Hawn. Well – wake up. It’s standard practice out there.

  7. Ray has always had terribly pock-marked skin. Even way, way back on his soap opera days at ANOTHER WORLD. It’s a little late for a peel to help him. But judging from the cunning arches of those eyebrows, my money is on a forehard lift.

  8. god, he was always one of my favorites. i hate that he hacked up his face somehow. now my vagina doesn’t want him anymore.

  9. He’s a great actor, and the show will be a hit, according to the pundits in the know….

  10. Liotta has always looked odd.
He has the strangest smile & laugh, which is why he’s almost always a bad guy.

  11. We couldn’t sit through this hurky jerky shit. Studio 60 looks great. Bring back Deadwood!!!!!

  12. Awesome! This is right. I’m watching the show and his face is totally messed up.

  13. Ray is actually one of the nicest guys ever. I’ve met him and he is very down to earth and polite, unusual for Hollywood!

  14. I noticed. I actually noticed before I saw this piece and thought, “whoa, now there’s a Hollywood facejob gone bad.” Yeesh.

  15. I saw Ray on Leno a week or so ago and knew he’d had something done. I think he looked better before!

  16. I love the show! But can’t stop looking at Ray’s face and trying figure out what he had done! He definitely looks like he had microdermabrasion, eye lift, maybe whole face lift. Its a shame because his face does not look natural anymore, it distracts from the show. He was great looking before. Why can’t they just leave their looks alone and allow themselves to age!! Or pay big money and get a great plastic surgeon so no one notices! He looks like a freaky old woman now!

  17. I thought he looked fantastic. He should have had that done years ago. His pockmarked faced was getting quite bad coupled with the wrinkles. Initially i thought it was just the good lighting on the show.

  18. I already was shocked when Ray appeared in this Hannibal Lecter flic. And then later in ‘Revolver’ it was obvious that something went wrong around the eyes. Couldn’t he grow old gracefully…?
