HOW DID TORI SPELLING, OF ALL PEOPLE, BECOME A DEADBEAT?

This week Tori Spelling and Jennie Garth filmed a 90210 fashion show scene at Westfield Century City mall. Poor Tori. We had to laugh when Radaronline revealed that American Express is hot on her trail since they learned she is being paid $85,000 per episode for the 90210 reboot. AX has a judgment against Tori for $88,391.25 she owes them and they’ve ordered the sheriff’s office to enforce the judgment. Tori also owes a bundle to City National Bank. 90210 has been renewed for another season, so the cast will get a big salary boost. But the question is: how does a girl (Tori)) grow up in the most expensive house in Beverly Hills, and end up owing so many people money?

  1. You’re joking, right? Tori’s father, the late Aaron Spelling, left his entire fortune to his wife (and Tori’s mother)Candy Spelling. Tori and her brother were placed on an allowance by Candy. Tori and Candy had a falling out, and Tori was left to fend for herself. Unfortunately, she continued to spend like mad, and LA shops let her rack up huge bills, not knowing she was cut off. Tori never bothered to save any of the money she made on the original 90210, and had to pay off her first husband when they divorced.

How is it possible that I know this – and I’m nobody – and a Hollywood gossip maven is clueless?

  2. That’s an easy one, Janet! The woman was never taught ANYTHING about budgeting. She probably had no idea about how to go grocery shopping, do laundry, or really, make a living besides the guest spots her dad got her, and 90210.

  3. It’s easy to hate Tori. But it’s a damn shame her mother can’t act like a grownup and help Tori with her debts then give her some kind of allowance. The woman has children and, yes, a slacker husband to support. Candy must be a sad, lonely old woman.

  4. These bleeding hearts. She’s a married mother of five in her 40’s. Why the hell should she get an allowance? Allowances are for teenagers.

I don’t know anyone in their 40’s who gets an allowance from mommy.

She thinks she’s special and doesn’t have to pay her obligations. If I did that, I’d be in bankruptcy court.

  5. @Beachy. I totally agree with you. Her mother has been paying the kids education. Maybe if Tori gave up all her storage units and sell her stuff she could pay her bills and STOP SHOPPING. I honestly think she needs some tough love and learn how to budget like the rest of us.
