Hugh Jackman’s wife chatted about her husband and gay rumors and definitely didn’t do a thing to squelch the speculation. Wolverine star Hugh Jackman has long been rumored to have some sort of agreement with his 13 years older wife Deborra-Lee Furness in which he can do whatever he wants on his own, but they have 2 adopted children (whom Hugh adores) and a normal home life together. Jackman’s singing and dancing on Broadway intensified the gay rumors. Instead of insisting that her husband is not gay, Mrs Jackman responded “It’s tragic that people have nothing better to do than gossip about people they don’t know.” (That’s US!) I’d like to say that getting that gorgeous man at least part time would be worth the trade off, but that’s not the kind of life I would want (assuming of course that he is gay) even if he is a great father.
I’ll take Peaches there anyday though. She’s a cutie.
I think he is bi, but also that they are very happily married. They are a rarity in that they make it work. If Hugh doesn’t absolutely adore both his wife and kids, then he is the worlds best actor. Also, everyone says that he is simply a happy good natured person.
He has been seen many times trolling the back alleys and parking lots of WeHo along with Jake Gyllenhaal. It’s a shame these two homosexuals remain closeted in fear.
Not sure about Hugh’s sexual preference and to be honest, I don’t much care. He was recently on Regis & Kelly talking about opening night on Broadway and he did say that his wife was out of town. I did think that was kind of odd, but whatever.
One thing I will say about the above pic though, is that her nose looks as if it has been tweaked a little too much! It kind of looks a bit “Latoya Jackson-ish”! Just sayin’
She hasn’t had much to say during their tandem act—and that’s probably for the better. His true sexuality may be Ward and June Cleaver in Middle America, but it’s absolutely no secret in Hollywood or New York.
But the vibe she gives off…makes you wonder how ugly things might get if things ever got frosty between them.
Ever since his well-publicized breakup with Jon Palermo, she’s been holding all the power in their multi-billion dollar (box office) franchise.
Must get tiresome for him—and the strain is starting to show in his features.
By the way, when he was first on Broadway years ago, they leased a huge place in one of those twin glass towers in lower Manhattan. Another celeb lived in the building right across from theirs—with a direct view into their apartment. Can’t remember who he was, but he said the entire time they were there, he NEVER saw Hugh interact in any way with Deborra inside that apartment.
Time will tell.
I love how everyone thinks they know what these two are all about. That said, I think Deborra did the right thing. She is under no obligation to confirm or deny rumours to the press.

In Australia he was always at the gay clubs and bars. His wife was just a b-grade television actress who was up for bearding with a family same as Cruise/Kidman. He met her on a tv series and they obviously clicked but I do think it would be stretching it to call him bi.
I believe what the post earlier said about no interaction between them. I love this stuff.
He always has the paps catching him in some family situation – it annoys me that he is such a try-hard.

@OK: Palermo may still have some financial skin in Hugh’s production company—that wouldn’t be surprising, even though his personal, romantic relationship with HJ has ended.
Regarding Deborra, I was speaking metaphorically, even though she, too, is a major player in Seed Productions, HJ’s company.
She’s the key to maintaining the make-believe they present to the public. Any ambiguity about Hugh from her would be disastrous for him, PR-wise

And regarding Gallo, was that who it was? Thanks, couldn’t remember, but I do recall that Calvin Klein, among others, has an apartment there, too.

He is in love with being on Broadway, where being gay is just an ordinary way of life. A 13 years difference is too great imho and I think they have an open marrige and both are gay gay gay. (Is her teeth less than perfect?)

He looks happy and cheerful and on top of the world..He looks so relaxed and cheerful and he is a great actor…I have been to all his movies and really like the fact that he can go in many directions as an actor.
The good thing about him big time…Is that my girlfriend loves to see every movie he makes and…I make a point of taking her to view each movie but the good thing about after we see the movie together…She gets supper turned on and…I Get extra lucky for the night?
