“I GET THAT A LOT” HAS SPAWNED A CELEBRITY LIFE SWAP

We were somewhat intrigued when CBS ordered a new show “The Same Name” in which celebrities swap lives with everyday people who happen to have the same name. For example, Kathy Griffin could step into the life of a marriage counselor, or Mario Lopez might assume the identity of a dance instructor or termite inspector and trade lives during the stunt. CBS was happy with the success of “I Get That A Lot” in which celebs pretended to be ordinary people in fast food joints etc. (Above, Jessica Simpson and Heidi Klum on “I Get That A Lot”)

  1. What about a show where celebs take on a profession or job that is in some way relevant to their infamy or notoriety. Charlie Sheen, for example, could appear on The Deadliest Catch working on one of those fishing boats, since he has often caught crabs.

  2. I saw the show where Heidi was a pizza employee and it was really good. Very entertaining watching her interact off the cuff (same with the other “stars”) with the “regular” people. Interesting premise.

  3. Klum should have been working in a candy story. After, she likes da chocolate.

  4. Canada, so funny!
Second post: You took away the Cap’n’s and Strom’s line, only better.

  5. UH-OH>>> “Captain America/Gerard Vandenburg has changed his moniker AGAIN…witness the new but as yet unimproved “wim”…guess things were getting too hot for him again. Sorry bastard…he just keeps hiding in plain sight and STILL doesn’t get it!

  6. Reta, yeah. I wondered after a post a day or so ago. That is the Captain.

  7. Captain, your Gold Member English usage gives you away instantly. You are either doing that on purpose or are truly obliviously foreign. As someone of European parentage, I find it hilarious, so, thanks.

  8. Sebastian…Gerard hasn’t a clue what he does that gives him away…believe me..he is not that bright. He has done the same lame givaways all the way back to his original postings under his real name Gerard Vandenburg. I wondered why he chose to go under “America” and then bash America in nearly all of his posts. he is truly a drooling, farting, imbecile who will need to go look up that word and STILL won’t get it!

  9. Reta, I agree. The Captain is a misery wrapped in an enema.

  10. Sebastian, he’s not “Captain” of anything…except maybe as you’ve made note of already…the porcelain throne!

  11. I wish instead they would hire writers in hollywood to tell good stories using good actors. That is what they do there, right? (But the rotating of jobs is something I think is good for all companies, and more rewarding for employees) so yeah, I guess this could be entertaining.

  12. In life just have fun and see what road life takes you and learning about other peoples lives have some positive effect on other people and for some one to be rich and all of a sudden start living like they are poor is massive hard…. Then some one living poor and all of a sudden your rich? But the story is done with fun and delight and it makes the other person life alittle more brighter.

  13. Casonia...Tennile from Hells kitchen got her ass kicked off, Because she could not handle the fish station and she was drunk during service and she called chef ramsay a British Bastard..You curse the chef your ass is grass and he is going to kick you in t says:

Have fun and do this for a joke and just play poor for aday and just see some one point of view in life and it is all about being open minded and able to take a good joke.

  14. Casonia.. Hells kitchen is a show that makes you think? People are never treated that way in real life and chef is hard to please and his food and his way or the highway. Fear of screwing up will keep any one on there toes and Ramsay off your ass. says:

LEARNING IS KEY AND LOOKING AT ANOTHER POINT OF VIEW..IS GOOD FOR YOUR MIND.
