It's not often that you see a photo of Lindsay Lohan and her girlfriend Sam Ronson SMILING, like this shot taken yesterday. Usually they have tortured and morose looks on their faces. Could it be they are euphoric over the news that gay marriage is now legal in California?

American Idol's Jason Castro put up with a boatload of misery on a grueling airline flight last week and he never cracked a scowl. Journalist Sue Facter happened to be seated a few rows behind Jason on an American Airlines flight from Newark to LA, Tuesday night at 6:30. Flight attendants and passengers were aflutter at the sight of the exhausted Jason and he was "friendly and accommodating." But he never got to nap. The flight was delayed for hours and finally everyone was sent to hotels. The next day he was bumped to coach and THAT flight made an emergency landing in Chicago for mechanical reasons. Hours later, passengers were complaining loudly as they were herded onto yet another plane. Jason was again bumped to coach and this flight had no pillows, blankets, and ran out of food! Passengers had to share their tiny sandwiches! Through it all, Sue says, Jason remained charismatic and sweet to everyone. It took three planes and 24 hours to get him to LA - and he was still smiling.

We may be sick of looking at Paris Hilton, but when she appeared at Selfridge's in London to promote her fragrance, they had to close the crowded street down. Apparently she figured that if she wore a goofy hat like Sarah Jessica Parker she'd get more attention and it worked. The Brits aren't wild about Benji Madden - one reporter said his tattoos make him look like a burn victim.( Paris definitely has bigger feet than her boyfriend.) In summation, a lot of people stopped to gape at Paris, but perfume sales were reportedly disappointing.

Anyone who frequents flea markets knows how hard those people work who sit outside all day in all kinds of weather selling their vintage or discount items. And it's not often that a celebrity and onetime popstar sets up a booth. Boy George must have fallen on hard times because he's now a bald and plump t shirt vendor at an East End market in London. One of the styles he sells says "PARIS HILTON S*CKS" George better be careful or his head will get sunburned.

We got the inside word on what Nick Cannon was REALLY doing in the Hello Kitty store. He wasn't shopping for his new bride Mariah. Actually he ducked in there to avoid paparazzi that were following him. He wanted to throw them off the track and get rid of them before he left for his and Mariah's wedding party at Magic Mountain. Nick had already sold all the media rights to ET and he didn't want any maverick snappers to spoil the lucrative deal. We love TMZ's revelation that Nick and Mariah were chauffeured around the park in a pink golf cart- accompanied by her hairstylist and makeup person.

Plus size model Whitney Thomson was anointed by Tyra Banks as America's Next Top Model just last night, and already we have a model photo of them together looking suspiciously svelte. (Whitney bears an uncanny resemblance to Anna Nicole Smith) There has been a lot of speculation that Whitney was Tyra's special choice because it puts Tyra squarely on the "models don't have to be stick thin" bandwagon, so popular now. Popular, but unrealistic. Unfortunately, it remains to be seen if Whitney will get modeling work that involves her body.

Hugh Hefner's #1 girlfriend Holly Madison is obviously unperturbed by Hefner's public announcement that he has no intention of ever marrying again. It's not that the Playboy mogul hasn't told HER that a thousand times! She's decided that a baby would be enough to make her happy, and Hef HAS tried to make that happen by seeing fertilization specialists with her. So she might get her wish. On a recent afternoon, Hef let her out of the house to meet her girlfriends at Sunset Plaza for lunch.

Amy Winehouse has found the perfect playmate in Pete Doherty. They both seem to be on the same all-night time schedule and prefer to take their meals at the corner convenience store. Not to mention the fact that both of them are recently out of jail. Pete made a successful comeback with his band Babyshambles on Wednesday night in London. Pogues frontman Shane MacGowan joined the band onstage to sing Dirty Old Town- we'd love to have been there. Afterward and the following night Amy and her new best friend were out on the town, Amy was apparently too distracted to notice that Pete's fly was open.

Everyone talks about how beautiful Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's natural child Shiloh is, and which of her famous parents she most resembles. We can't figure out why no one has pointed out that every day Shiloh becomes more of a dead ringer for her GRANDFATHER Jon Voight. He's the grandfather that Shiloh has never met because Angelina is still feuding with him. The "Midnight Cowboy" star was quite a hottie in his day.

It looks that way. The resemblance is remarkable. Actually, Colin Farrell has lost an alarming amount of weight in preparation for playing a war photographer in his currently filming movie "Triage." To tell you the truth, we're a little surprised that he had the self discipline to achieve this. Maybe he HAS grown up.

This picture of John Mayer holding Jennifer Aniston's dog's leash reveals a lot about their relationship because Jennifer is VERY fussy about who takes care of her dog. Her pooch Norman has been with Jen through thick and thin - that's numerous boyfriends and one husband, and he's the longest lasting male in her life. Jen must hold John in high esteem to trust him with Norman. The three of them flew from Miami to Orlando where Mayer performed, while Jen watched backstage.

Billy Baldwin seems to be a good sport when it comes to attending gay related fundraisers with his "Dirty Sexy Money" costar Candis Cayne, who happens to be a transsexual. Candis plays Billy's love interest on the series and they have lots of sexy scenes. At a recent GLAAD event in San Francisco, Billy was asked what it was like to kiss Candis on the show and, ever the diplomat, Billy replied, "She's beautiful - actually it's just like kissing Cindy Crawford!"

Does Lindsay Lohan know that her father Michael Lohan has been actively asking people around Hollywood if anyone knows who is supplying his daughter with drugs? Apparently Michael is convinced that Lindsay has resumed indulging in cocaine and more, and HE wants to root out the supplier. Michael, the answer could be right under your nose - or better still, Lindsay's nose.

However, to his credit, he's always THERE for her and doesn't mind holding her bag. Do you suppose they still spend their Sundays in the nude now that they have a baby?
