La Toya Jackson looks like she has some doubts about the manicure she just got in Beverly Hills. Significantly, she’s in the company of another woman – NOT Jeffre Phillips, whom she “almost” married. Jeffre was acting as her manager after she divorced Jack Gordon. We are reminded of a visit to Paris in 1992 when LaToya was performing (scantily clad) at the Moulin Rouge nightclub. Jack invited us to see the show and visit backstage. LaToya graciously showed us her wardrobe and she and Jack took us to the hottest club in Paris at the time, where they rolled out the red carpet for her. Hard to imagine, but it looks like La Toya is single and managing her own career now.

We, too, have never been able to quite figure out what La Toya’s “career” consists of–although the run at Moulin Rouge that Janet describes is impressive.
Still, we can never shake two images of La Toya from our mind: the intense, fevered media fiasco that ensued when she publicly accused her brother of being a pedophile–when she declared she could “no longer remain silent”; and the literal scrambling that she undertook–aided apparently by her mother–in which she frantically searched Michael’s rented Bel Air home in search of the garbage bags filled with cash that he was known to hoard–immediately after his death.
All things considered, we think the long, empty hours La Toya must spend between nail appointments to be lonely indeed. 🙁
What exactly is her talent? Years ago she “performed” at the State Fair here. The reviews were scathing. She lip synced and apparently it was laughably very evident. So, Janet, what can this woman do with any credible talent? Please tell us.
I truly feel bad for this woman. She was raised in a terrible family and had to endure god knows what from her animal father. She’s just trying to survive like the rest of us.
