IT’S NOT KATIE HOLMES’ FAULT IF HER PLAY IS A BOMB

So WHAT if Katie Holmes’ Broadway play “Dead Accounts” is a turkey! It’s not fair to blame Katie for the fact that tickets are not selling and it’s likely the show will close soon. Reviewers have criticized the script while praising the actors so it’s more appropriate to blame the playwright. Actually this acting job was a logical choice for Katie to make – she didn’t get any movie offers to film in New York, and she absolutely wanted to be home for Suri’s first year in school. Katie’s keeping busy while keeping her name out there, so it WAS a sensible choice.

  1. So she chalks it up to experience and moves on to the next thing. Much like the rest of us.

  2. no no no,the scientology movement has strangless just about everywhere!!

  3. Sorry to say no producers, nor talent scouts were knocking down Katie’s door for her to appear in anything.

  4. What do you know janet you don’t live in nyc. I read in nyc paper In nyc people dont care if it is bad they just want to see katie holmes. At least she is on broadway and keeping busy.

  5. All actors have clinkers. It is part of the business. Look how many actors have made bad movies just for the bucks. This is just a reality of the craft. Some winners, some losers.

  6. She should stay home fulltime and try and straighten out Suri, that child needs to be retrained. She was never told no from what I have read, and she looks like an utter brat in every picture I have seen of her. Carried around for years and now she seems to be pitching a fit constantly, always crying and whining. Shudder.

  7. Living in NYC as every one knows is not exactly cheap. And speaking of cheap, she is getting very little $ from the Scientology nutcase; I believe it’s $33,000 per month. This is chicken feed and is only a tiny percent of Tom’s vast wealth. To keep up her grand lifestyle (huge apt., Suri’s private school, clothes, etc), she will have to keep working in B-Way plays, whatever. She was never a great actress so she’d better look for a rich husband.
