JACK KERVORKIAN: WELCOME BACK, JACK!
One of our true American heroes was released from prison today and we are still appalled by the injustice of his having to spend eight years behind bars for being a brave, forward-thinking idealist. Dr. Jack Kervorkian, now 79, assisted in numerous suicides, but was sent to prison when he filmed himself helping a victim of Lou Gerhigs disease commit suicide. He feels people should have a choice and be in control of their own life and death. Certain religions don’t agree. He’ll be on probation for two years so he can’t partake in any more assisted suicides until that’s over. Unfortunately, this man probably won’t be recognized for his brilliance within his lifetime. We just want him to know that we’re glad to see him back.
